E'Ze's Diary:

We continued onward from the beach after we hid the boat and the rogue. For some strange reason he does not wake up, so we will have to leave him behind. I doubt we will ever see him again, but you can never tell in such a strange and bizarre world.

We continued into the woods. Strangely enough there is actual life on this island. I doubted we would see any type of life, yet the squirrels, the birds, and even the mosquitoes. I hate mosquitoes. Then we came upon a destroyed druidic circle, but a very large tree was still standing in the middle. The Druid and Gregor went forward to investigate while the the Wizard and myself stood by Rain while she recuperated. The communicated with the sentient tree. The tree became sentient after the psychic residue from the dead druids seeped into it's mass. We spent the night in it's protection and recuperated from our ordeal.

The next day we proceeded to the village after the tree warned us about the dangers of the temple. When we arrived the village was full of bugbears and captured female slaves. That left out the simple bomb them from afar and weed out the rest scenario, too many innocents. We proceeded with a two pronged attack. Gregor and Rain  from one direction while the Druid and me went a different way with fire support from the Wizard. It started off fairly well with grease spells in certain locations, but then a devil dropped a dispel magic bead on me and took away my Displacement. How it actually hit me don't know. Well either way it began to wail on me and hit me way too often. I retaliated, but only hit once, ouch! Even though I hit it the damage was negligible. It was a pitched battle I don't know what happened elsewhere because I was cut off. I continued to battle the beast until it flew off then I caught back up with Gregor and informed the rest of the party of the danger we faced.

Suddenly the devil cut off Gregor from me with an ice wall. I had no choice but to run around the building and attempt to catch up. When I got there the devil teleported away. I think it was going after the Druid, but she moved out of it's line of attack. Then suddenly the mage is encased in a dome of ice. Rain pushed back two more bugbears while I went to her aid and the druid and bard regrouped back together.

Meanwhile the wizard was desperately attempting to burn his way through the ice dome. Suddenly he felt the sting of the devil piercing his back and it's claws slashing away at him. He continued to burn his way through, but the rest of the party didn't have a clue as to what he was going through. Miraculously, he managed to burn a hole through the ice and tell us what he was doing. Enraged I used my gauntlets and shoved a whole thought the ice and Rain grabbed the Wizard and through him out. The druid dragged him out of harms way while me and Rain went at the devil. Then he teleported away, again. He teleported right between the both the druid and the bard. Grabbed the bard and flew away. The wizard destroyed another group of hobgoblins with his wand, even though he was hurt.

The devil flew up with the bard. The wizard cast a web spell over the building tops in an attempt to slow his fall. Then the devil just threw Gregor down, but Gregor had one up his sleeve. He used his feather fall spell to slow his fall at the last moment. Then the devil pointed to the school and teleported away.

Afterwards it was a quick mop up operation to kill the remaining bugbears. We freed the remaining surviving girls and looted the village. We need to get these girls to safety, probably back to the druid grove.

Sincerely Yours,

Lancelot
