Mother;

Mother, I apologize for not getting back to you sooner, but the tide's been high and we have been out of port. As i was saying earlier we out and about ready to take on some giants, but we were diverted to a different port. We rested over night in the the heat of the forge in a secure portal from the slime of the earth. It was nice not have to eat or struggle with that awful tasting pudding that is as black as can be.

We did manage to get to the small library and it was loaded with texts of all sorts. The library had a faint abjuration security, thus keeping out unwanted slimy critters, but like all security the test of time has a few cracks in it. We did find an interesting dead booty with  a 'captain'-vated symbol of the hawk. It was strange finding such an out of the red placed booty there, but fresh things are the spice of life.

The voyage continued and we literally ran into a Latrise captivated unique humanoid dragon like figurine and additional book ends. Oro informed me that the  main 'text' was over 100 years and it was imported from far beyond. Some how the text flew off the it's stable shelf and set up a rather nasty fire wall. Oro fired back with his own heated ball of discussion, but it didn't seem to hurt a whole lot. Something about 'Spell'-cial 'Resistance'-afied text negation policy that nullifies magic tomes.

I had to get the 'text' out somehow so I took a step back, ran forward, hopped on my shield, but the damned druid oiled my shield and it slipped right out from underneath me and I landed right in the middle of the blazing fire wall. Needless to say I was fried. Oro continued to use magic, but it still didn't seem to do a whole lot of damage. The Rogue fired an arrow and hit him. The Druid cast a turtle shell on the book but the book slid back and evaded being covered. The Bard hasted the rest of the party. The Ranger tumbled her way into the hell and nabbed me. I took out the last remaining bookend and we both proceeded to move in on last remaining text. The Druid shape changed into a bear, ran through the fire. Now that was the most disgusting smell you can ever imagine; smoking bear, singed elf, and cooked halfling. Finally, we had the 'bad' text covered and in the corner, but then it just disappeared. Puff, gone. Yah, I hate arcane magic.

Finally we managed to get out head back to the far port. We made a ton of deals with the port manager, the import/export clearing house, and the port authority. Well, I have to get back to a ton of paper work. We are going to stay in port for a while and relax. Besides it will be good to get some simple R&R

Sincerely,

E'Ze
