Mother;

I know it has been while since my last letter, but we have been on the run. We went to the Bellwoods to deal with a few goblins, but we ended up being chased for several days by thousands of goblins straight non stop without rest. We finally made it to the ruins of an old abandoned keep. We fought and killed hundreds of goblins, but they just kept on coming. Their leader was an orc with some type of magic that redirects magic back to the caster. We were going to make it our final stand, but the wizard found a passage leading down. We all went down and jammed the door behind us to prevent the little pests from following us.

Rain lead the way since both the bard and the rogue were lost along with several fighters. Only one fighter and monk survived out of 10 extra warrior sent with our team. Suddenly Rain is sucked down the hall, she barely managed to pull her rods of immovability and managed to prevent herself from being splattered against  glass spikes against the far wall. She climbed back. Not surprising, the rest of the party pretty much stood and watched. I am getting tired of staying in the shadows and waiting.

After what seemed like an eternity the party finally got together and managed to jump across and avoid the trap. The monk took some serious risks, but he survived. down the hall the monk enters a room full of arcane symbols. The wizard notes they are demonic, one in particular was seen previously in the druid's destroyed grove. Who or what it is nobody knows. However we did spot Jubiliex's symbols embedded. That might explain why Rain encountered a pudding and managed to lure it into the reverse gravity and spike trap.

Rain went into one of the adjoining rooms to investigate, but she was grabbed by a black pudding. The black pudding pulls her further into the room her and instantly dissolved her possessions (kukri, armor, clothes, etc..), but she did manage to save her backpack.  The monk ran in and manages to grab her, but he too is attacked and pulled in. Unfortunately he is unable to pull her out, but he didn't lose anything other than his clothes. The wizard is calling for help, but he does not go in, coward. By this time the black pudding split into two parts, probably after the ranger attacked it with her kukri, which was destroyed. Meanwhile the druid is in the hall watching while the fighter and myself were guarding both passages.

The fighter ran in after hearing the wizard's call for help. I continued to guard the passage way. After the fighter ran in so did the druid. The Fighter reaches into the darkness and grab them, but unfortunately he actually managed to pull out one of the puddings and he to is attacked. Again he also looses his armor and clothes. Finally, the wizard casts some spells at the pudding and continues to call for help. Meanwhile, the druid was actually going to lightning strike the pudding, but we manage to convince her to actually attempt to heal the fighter who was dangerously close to dying.

I couldn't wait any longer. The ranger was dangerously close to dying, the monk was severely hurt, and the fighter was also hurt. I ran in, jumped over the fighter, across the monk, and managed to grab Rain. Fortunately, I did manage to roll both of us out of the way, but I did however flop directly on top her. The wizard continue to attack using scorching ray, but he kept on hitting the walls. Unfortunately the fighter died, but we did manage to kill both black puddings. Note to self, do not attack black puddings with edge weapons, it splits them into two parts and electricity does little or no damage.

What am I going to do about this party? They do not work together, even when being attacked and lives are in danger. This is ridiculous. I don't think I want to continue working with this party. I was hoping they would be he prophesized ones spoken about in the ancient tombs, but I doubt they are the ones.

Love,

E'Ze
