Journal Log: 5/17/08

Dear Diary:

We found Raven who fortunately had managed to fight her way out of her captives cold embrace and in a room full of aspices. Unfortunately, my sleep spell is ineffective against them (5 HD). It was a costly battle, but we managed to kill off the Aspices. It appears that this illusionist is not a combat specialist., but the cleric-Bob seems nearly as gun ho as Herbert, although he does seem to be more willing to heal others, even if they don't ask for it.

Afterwards, Pic scouted out ahead and encountered a couple of ogres and a lot of orcs, but instead of coming back so we could devise some sort of plan he attacks and then calls for help. So we blindly run to help him. Thus getting caught by an invisible mage who fireball the snot out of us. Bob runs right into a pit trap, barely missing the spikes on the bottom, while the floor lowers itself into a poison gas filled area, and continues to lower down into an electrified section. Amazingly enough, Bob manages to dig a dagger into the wall and he miraculously found a way to climb out. Wow, nobody managed to go and help him out. St. Cuthbert smiled on him and lifted him out of that dreadful trap. The wizard continue to fireball us, while the fire elemental put the squeeze on the drawf barbarian, the invisible rogue nearly managed to kill the wizard after the wizard greased us and we were slipping around and fumbling with our greased weapons and stuff. I finally managed to kill the wizard with the scorching ray wand. It nearly looked like a TPK when Pic, Herb, Raven, the barbarian were all near death, while Bob was approaching it. I nearly contemplated on escaping and leaving them on their own, but fortunately after killing the wizard the elemental lost its fiery passion and smoke out.

We are going to seek some shelter and attempt to heal ourselves while we regroup. I don't know were the best locating for such an endeavor would be down here, but if we don't we are going to be SOoL.

Kill them, Kill them ALL!
