Dear Diary:

Adventure Hightlights

I was really out of it. I ended up talking to the shadow lord's lieutenant who taught me how to undo the wizard locks and gave me 3 potions of extra healing (I believe he taught the same thing to the others prior to them leaving). I went through a ton of different stuff, but finally I caught up to the party. I found myself in a room with orcs and a manticore and some strange gadget they were about to open fire on my comrades. Suddenly, a massive fireball roasted the orcs near the machine and melted the machine thoroughly. The manticore had Raven pretty well pinned down and she took some massive damage from the spikes, but she and the rogue managed to kill it after I placed a few good missiles and arrows into it. I also managed to help take out some of the other orcs. As usual Brother Herb charged right in and smacked away at the beast.

We continued onward into a chamber guarded by magical ruins. The rogue noticed it and asked one of us magical types to deal with it. It was a simple contest of rocks, paper, scissors and I won. Besides I wanted to see how good this mage was at his craft. Well, he must have weight about a buck eighty, because he was blown right through the doors and into a pit as he gazed at the ruins. Why didn't we set ourselves up to help protect him? Instead we just let the unprotected mage wander right through a trap he was never meant to be in. He was blown directly into a pit full of spikes and a giant spider. Raven rushed up and helped him kill the spider with her trusty dagger. That dagger has seen more action than her sword sometimes. Oh well, you know what they say "bigger is not always better, its just how you use it". Well, we managed to get him out and heal his injuries. Interestingly enough Herb has been using the wand more than his own spells. Does faith have it's limits?

Inside the chamber we fought a titanic battle against a priestess of Gruhmash, orcs, hellhounds, and a troll. The rest of the party fought frantically against the tide. It was nearly a done deal for Brother Herb who took it onto himself to tackle and fight the priestess by himself after she had charmed the hell out of the fighter Tamara who wacked the snot out of both Badger and Herb. Raven was fighting to a virtual standstill against the hellhounds and the rogue managed to opened a box full of coins and shrunken troll. The troll nearly killed the rogue, but I managed to take it out with a ton of scorching rays. I practically used up my wand of scorching ray in that fight and both Badger and myself had exhausted our supply of spells.

We waited out the night due to injuries, prior to going underground. At the end of the ladder is a large cavernous chamber after going a long twisty corridor. The chamber split off into four directions (N, S, E, W). We entered through the south entrance. The west exit leads to a room full of eggs and humanoid ants. The north exit leads to sewers. The east exit leads to, oh who cares, and it is unimportant. We fought some sewage worms that are rather dangerous. Unfortunately, the rogue took the brunt of the attack by himself, but fortunately I was able to supply some needed missile support, but unfortunately it sucked up a large chunk of my wand. We threw a fireball into the egg chamber, but brother Herb virtually exhausted the wand healing everybody up after we battled the larva and the humanoid ants. The ants we nearly indestructible due to their incredibly tough armored shells (better than most plate armors)!

Well, I need to get back to my work and get ready for our next onslaught. Who knows where this will lead us to next.

Kill them, Kill them ALL!
