Season Premiere III

As we join our
heroes this week they are pouring over old leather bound books for any
information to help with their quest against their new found foes. Thanks to Randall’s
computer genius they have discovered that they need to
find this mirror and destroy it. Along with that they
need to fine the bodies that the spirits inhabit and get them to the carnival.
Whipping open their spellbooks, Tristy and Ruby set off to find a proper spell
to find one to lure people to the carnival, while the mundane people of the
group try and find more info about body snatching
spirits. After school they all go their separate ways
to get more info. Dante first stays at school to interrogate some people he had
seen at the fair the other day. Any of the football players left are of course
a first place stop.
Not to say that the players weren’t helpful but they still seemed rather shaken up by
the recent events and had only partial memory. What little Dante could get out
was that a girl named Sara was with them but latter she seemed to have wandered
off to by herself. Heading off to speak with Sara he
leaves the football team even more confused. After about fifteen minutes he finally finds her by her locker gathering up her
things in a sort of daze. Approaching her he asks her
if she would like to come to his house for a study session with some other
students. She agrees and both leave.
At the Magik
Spot (Pleasantville’s incognito magic shop) there we
find Tristy and Ruby going thru all of Gerry’s (The local candle merchant)
magic books for a proper lure spell. Out of nowhere Tristy’s voice rings out saying, “I’ve found it” prompting
to tell Ruby about this spell that summons will-o-wisps to lure people to you.
Copying it down behind Gerry’s back they leave to tell
the others.
At Glen’s
house all she is doing it packing up the “Mystery
Hearse” for a long night of throwing stakes, arrows, and assorted cutlery into
the back of the “Mystery Hearse”.
Hope,
however, has chosen to go to work before this busy night, at the
At five on the button all of our hero’s
wind up finding their way back to the Channel Nine
studio to report whatever they had found to the rest of the group. After a
quick deliberation they soon discovered that Dante was
not with them. Wanting to inform their other main combatant of their plan they took off for his house.
Meanwhile,
at Dante’s house we find Sara bound to a chair and looking roughed up. While
this would normally be a bad situation, Dante’s hunch was correct in thinking
that Sara was one of the body snatchers. After a short torture scene she begins to tell Dante most of what he needs to
know. Most of the information is along the lines of that
the mirror houses the souls and should it be broken the souls would be trapped
forever and that its power has clamed hundreds across the globe. At this point the rest of the gang shows up. Rushing up to his room they walk in and of course notice Sara. Trying to figure out exactly what has been going on, he explains the whole thing.
The group being armed with a plan to lure
the body snatchers of Plesantville to the mirror to switch back the souls as
well as stakes and other assorted goodies care of Glen and Dante they set off
for the Carnival.
Pulling onto the side of the road a safe
distance away from traffic and people Ruby and Tristy
begin to set up for the ritual they are going to need to perform. With five
candles arranged in the back of Glen’s Hearse Ruby strikes a match to light
them. Tristy stops her though. With a few quick
sutras of magic she breathes upon them and they
ignite. Ruby is surprised as well as everyone else. Ruby asks Tristy where she learned how to do that and all Tristy states is that her Aunt taught her a long time ago.
With still some quizzical looks she explains that she
is a natural witch like Ruby. After this is done Ruby and Tristy
link hands through the circle and both recite a Celtic ritual to Geia.
Through the
consuming power of Fire, through the swiftness of Wind, through the reliability
of Earth, and through the strength of Water we summon forth your messengers to aid
us in our time of need. By your power so blessed be.
Out of the darkness come nine floating
orbs of pure light. Bouncing all around, Tristy and
Ruby command them to seek the body snatchers, bring them to the carnival, and
into the Mirror. With that they all shoot of in
different directions. Grabbing their things up they pile back into the Hearse
and head off to the Carnival.
Parking in the lot and get a hold of as
many weapons as possible they set off for the House of
Mirrors. Paying the fee and following the twisted pathways
they make their way into a large main chamber. There are
three exits that lead somewhere. Hope steps forward and into the doors
right ahead of them. Everyone else stays behind waiting for the all clear.
Oddly enough Hope never comes back. Dante goes off to
the left while Tristy goes to the right. The same
thing happens and neither come back. This only leaves Glen and Ruby who both go
forward. After Glen, Dante, Ruby and Tristy get past the doors they all met up in a hallway
beyond the room that heads off in both directions. They all choose to go right
to look for Hope. Maneuvering through the corridors and passageways
they get to another large room where all of a sudden the lights go out. From
the walls zombies begin to drift towards them. Just as
they reach the group the lights comeback on and
they’re gone. Kicking themselves for being stupid they
look for a way out but there seems to be none. That’s when a door on the other
side of the room creeks open and Hope comes back telling them that there is
another room over there. Back together they scour the
structure for the orb sent to show them where the mirror was but no traces were
found. Leaving the house Tristy spots a quick flash
of light over by the right wall, however, by the time she could tell the rest
of the group the exit was already locked and she couldn’t
get out. Shrugging she heads over to the wall to find the orb. When she finally
reaches the wall a door becomes apparent. Pushing on
it, it opens, and walks in. Inside she sees a tall man at the far corner of the
room with ten other people against the left wall. Without hesitation
he approaches her and attacks her sucking out her blood until she passes out.
In the back of Dante’s mind he could swear that Tristy just screamed.
Meanwhile
outside the house of mirrors the rest of the group notices Tristy
is missing. Running back to the exit door they find it locked. Quickly, running
around the structure to the front, Dante climbs the roof to get a better view
of the rest of the grounds. Rushing past the front man
they reenter the house. Scouting through all the rooms again
they find no traces of Tristy. Then out of nowhere one of the orbs starts flying out of the wall into the
room and darts in front of Hope. As quick as it came
it was gone again through the wall. Getting right next to the wall she taps on it and a distinctly hollow sound comes from
it. Stepping back she runs forward and kicks it as
hard as she can. Needless to say the door falls out of
the wall and the rest of them come up for a closer look. Inside they see
nothing save Tristy’s body suspended by the wrists
from the ceiling with the Mirror right in front of her. Everyone runs to her
aid, Glen tacking off her bandana and tying it around her eyes. Hope begins to
loosen the bonds when out of the shadows appears ten people and an extremely tall
vamp (well over 7’). Without hesitation Hope threw
herself at the thing kicking it square in the chest and back flipping and
kicking it in the jaw. Both blows hardly seem to phase it and it gazes glared agitatedly
down at her. With little she can do against this oversized
opponent it grabs and bites her neck. Glen tries to get over
to hope to help her but is overcome by possessed persons. In the middle
of the chaos Dante comes sliding down the ventilation
shaft right into the fray. With Hope incapacitated and having the life sucked
out of her Dante springs at the Vamp stacking it. Dropping Hope to the ground
like a rag doll. Turning to Dante, it backhands him and sends him flying into
the crowd. With little hope of living through this encounter
the group merely tries to get out of there. That’s
when more people descended from the ceiling dressed in black. They all swarm
the vamp biting him and the rest whip out batons and start clubbing the others.
Glen then runs up stake in hand and stabs him right in the heart dusting him instantly. A flash of light and a surge of energy and
several white forms escaped the mirror and headed out in all directions. Some
of the light reinhabitted their former bodies forcing
out the possessing spirits. With that finished Ruby
tries to untie Tristy while Glen grabs Dante and Hope
trying to get out of here before the Police arrives.
