Season Premiere II:
The Carnival
Screen Written by
It is still
Quickly switching over we find Bob and his
friends out on the outskirts of the carnival in an open field. All have been
drinking and are now gathered around Debbie and another girl whom is having
jell-o shots sucked out of her naval. Bob receives much confidence boosting
looking forward to pounding Dante and his group of “Freaks.” Then out of
nowhere twelve of the party members change into something a bit less human
(Duh! Vamps anyone) Needless to say they descend upon the poor football players
as though presented with a smorgasbord. Screams emanate from the area.
Back to Hope and the gang we see her and
Dante scouting around the Fair edges. Hearing the screams Hope wastes no time
and grabs Dante and are both off together. Dashing through the brush and into a
field they catch the sight of a party going on and over they go. Taking in the
scene they see that Bob and Debbie are both fighting off two of the things
while the rest are having their lives drained from them in mere moments. And
off goes Hope flipping over the nearest one and kicking him square in the back
of the head. It ended in a roll knocking the legs out from another. Standing
across the field Dante tears after one of the free ones with his trusty knife.
Hope grabs a flaming piece of debris and stabs the prone one right in the
heart, stands up and spring kicks another looming behind her. Meanwhile Dante
dispatches two more with stakes dusting them both. Debbie finally gets to her
feet and with a rush of adrenaline breaks one of theirs noses with her knee.
All three desperately trying to stay alive they gather in a circle defending
each others back and grabbing (Bob out of the way) They soon bring down their
numbers to one who runs for the carnival.
The group reconvenes at the center of the
carnival yet again but this time discovering two of their numbers missing.
Without a second glance a person smashes right into them pointing to the field
saying that things where killing them beck there. All are off and soon come
upon the bloody fiasco with only Bob and Debbie remaining of the original
partiers. Dante without warning begins o decapitate all the bodies and orders
Glen to get her hearse. All take a step back from Dante who seems a little
shall we say enraged. Screeches emanate from the street as Glen pulls into
view. Dante goes over to Hope and says that these bodies are contaminated and
need to be disposed of. Throwing them into the back of the hearse Ruby, Dante,
Glen, and Debbie pile in and are sent screeching off. This leaves Tristy, Hope, and Bob at the carnival.
Pulling into the crematorium on the east
side of town Glen gets out and waves at the guard on watch. He says how he
would love to take a brake and if these people would watch the gates for a few
minutes. Not believing their luck Dante drives the hearse in and quickly
disposes of them. Pulling out to the front gate they all make idol chit chat
with the guard to disguise their true intentions and pull away no one the
wiser. However, before they get back to the carnival Glen is pulled over by the
police (Guess for what. No not that! Speeding) asking to for everyone to get
out of the car the police officer is also the town sheriff. Once Debbie was out
the police chiefs face opened into shock. Debbie goes over and asks her DAD why
they’ve been pulled over he stutters and quickly unscrews one of the
taillights. Jumping back into his car he is off as well as our heroes.
Meanwhile
back at the Carnival Tristy, Hope, and Bob are all
sitting down when suddenly Tristy faints (again).
Quickly coming to her aid hope tries to reawaken her with little success. After
a minute or so Tristy regains consciousness saying
that they all need to get to a person named Randal’s house and that he is in
great danger. With little they can do but wait our intrepid group thinks of
some way when it dawns upon them that they can use Mr. K’s
channel 9 vehicle to get there. They rush off trying to find him without delay.
Spotting him over by the Tilt-a-Whirl they all at once ask to use the van.
Adding another person to the group they get in and are on their way to this
Randal person’s house. Grabbing the Watcher’s cell phone they call up Glen. With
new information on where to go both vehicles are off to Randal’s house.
Upon arrival Tristy,
Hope, and Bob all spot five Vampires stalking around the house. With their
approach the Vamps turn to face the newcomers. Leaping out of the van Hope
dusts one from the get go while Tristy displays a new
talent to the rest of her new found friends, by levitating a vamp above the
ground and sending him onto a particularly pointy branch of the nearby trees,
dusting that one as well. Bob not coming up with anything cleverer to do bum
rushes one of them to find it out of the way with minimal effort. Hope still in
combat mode kicks then stakes one with a spectacular flip into the air.
Meanwhile Tristy takes the opportunity to stake a
vamp with a little help from her telekinetic abilities. With only one left Bob
rushes up to the same one stopping short and instead punt kicks it right in the
groin leaving it with little defense when Hope arrives to take care of it.
Looking back to the house they see a short, blue-eyed person in the doorway
holding on to a laptop for dear life. Looking terrified he bolts back into the
house followed shortly by Hope and Tristy. Bob is
left to survey the handy work looking even more confused than normal.
Tristy and Hope
gain quickly on him as he opens the back door to escape when Hope finally pins
him against the door. In a rather precarious situation he pleads for her not to
suck hi blood out. Confused and a little offended by the remark she lets him
go. She the n begins to explain how exactly they come to be there and how they
had just saved him. With a sigh of relief he walks with her to the front door
when the hearse finally shows up everyone piles out and comes to ask why their
here. Tristy take this opportunity to introduce a new
member to their group. Beaming with pride Randal opens up his laptop and asks
everyone what their e-mail address and if he can put them on his buddy list.
With a roll of the eyes from Glen and Dante they soon realize that they only
have one day to solve the problem of the house of mirrors which none of them
have any clue about. Randal gets all excited and tells them that he has been
following this carnivals history and that it once passes through Sunnydale. It is said that in the house of mirror there is
a mirror that if you look directly into it your soul get torn from your body
and a spirit gets to overtake it. With another piece of the puzzle in place the
group must now figure out how many people this has already happened too and
also how to get rid of the mirror for good.
