Opening Act

Tristy lies on her bed taking in yet another perfect summer day. She listens to the radio while musing to herself about how she has barely had anything to do since school let out. It was almost like they took a summer break along with the kids. An old book lies before her and she examines the text attempting to decipher the ancient Celtic runes upon it. Soon, soon she gives up and focuses on the radio, which is giving away an all-expenses paid trip to a theme park. Figuring that she has nothing better to do than call in for a chance at a weekend away from home she picks up the phone. She quickly dials the number, a man answers on the other end, “You’re our lucky number 13 caller you just won yourself a trip to Wayne’s World theme park.” For a moment she stands stunned at her good luck but quickly tells the man her name and then is transferred to a different line to receive information on her winnings.  Eventually getting off the phone she begins to pack.

Act 1

Dante and Angelica speed from the scene of the café burning as helicopters and black vans reach the scene. They both heave a great sigh of relief to be out of that death trap. They drive for a couple of hours but finally reach their destination. Dante has taken a summer job, away from Pleasantville, at Wayne’s World theme park along with Angelica who is actually one of the board members in charge. They get themselves moved into their individual rooms, Dante in the employee cabins, while Angelica is off in one of the hotel suites.  The rest of the next two days is orientation and conditioning for the opening of the park.

On the third day The park opens and Dante is given greeting duty at the gates along with Angelica. Meanwhile, Tristy arrives in a stretch limousine courtesy of the hosting radio station. She steps from the car and immediately ushered through the admissions gates. People swarm around her greeting her. They even had a blimp to read “Welcome Tristy” well, needless to say, this was all way too much for Tristy’s liking. Eventually after all the photo ops and greeting ceremonies she is sent to another vehicle to be escorted to the hotel. She gets in and looks into the rearview mirror, which reflect a familiar face. Dante turns around and welcomes her in an all too boisterous tone of voice. Glaring back at him he puts his foot to the accelerator and they head off. They talk about what’s been happening during the summer, after which Tristy is informed of Dante’s previous excursions to the Vamp café as well as Angelica being a slayer. Before she gets out to go to her room he gives her one of the keys and tells her to guard it with her life. She nodes, and then heads off to the hotel.

Act 2

Tristy heads off to the front desk. The woman there hands her a key before she even has a chance to say anything. She also says that Tristy’s room is the penthouse on the top floor. She heads to the elevators and the bell boy carts along her stuff.  Upon reaching her room she marvels in its magnificent as it quite literally encompasses half of the level she is on as well as half the level above her. The bell boy unloads her luggage in her bedroom then leaves. Checking to make sure that he’s gone Tristy runs to her room and begins to unpack starting with her herbs and medallions. After that she changes from her usual white blouse and denim jeans into a nice little present from Glen, black-leather, skin tight jeans and an ebony shirt with draping sleeves.

Dante on the other hand is off joy riding examining the park and listening to the radio for any sort of disturbance. Eventually though he decides to find Angelica and introduce her to Tristy. It take him another good hour to finally find her doing her usual PR stuff at one of the many shows in the park. Heading back to the hotel Angelica inquires about exactly who Tristy is and what she know about the whole slayer, vampire, forces of darkness thing. After given firm affirmation that Tristy is trustworthy they head up to her room.

Tristy wonders around her room in a half daze of all that happened during the day when a nock came on her door. She answered it and in stepped a PR representative of the park and a local journalist. Apparently, they wanted to interview Tristy on her highly eventful trip. Well, somewhere along the lines they begin getting off the subject of the winning of the trip and more into Tristy’s life eventually she lets out that she is a Wiccan as well as in a Lesbian relationship with Glen. Well, it is shortly after that that the Pr rep stepped in and told the journalist that Tristy had had a long day and probably needed to rest and both left.

Act 3

After riding herself of the two individuals there came another knock at the door. This time another couple stood in her doorway. However, she immediately recognized Dante and invited him in, Angelica in tow. Dante made a quick introduction between the two women then began to compliment Tristy on her luck on winning the trip while investigating the penthouse.  Angelica made a quick note of the strange herbs sitting upon the kitchen’s counter in containers. Tristy explained what each one did and what sort of latent powers where supposed to be in each.

After a while of conversation over a number of topics they decided to head out and walk around the park. It didn’t take long for something strange to happen though. No sooner had they began their walk along the outskirts of the park did Dante’s radio began blaring that an incident had occurred very close to their current position. The three bolted off to the reported sight finding police blocking off and area on the edge of a field near the park where a stage was set up. Dante and Angelica approached. They got the story that someone just found the body of a man, who was an employee, that looked as though he had fallen to his death but there were no trees around or ladders or anything that would constitute such a death. They did find out that the body probably died in the night, early morning time but little else. Relaying the information to Tristy she headed back to the hotel so that Dante and Angelica could go and investigate properly. However, they found out nothing more.

Act 4

In the morning Tristy turned on the television to a local channel. On it there was nothing but strange sightings and mysterious occurrences throughout the outlying city. The sightings included images of giant a giant bug or some sort of winged creature. Dante and Angelica also discovered the strange deluge of strange reports. Angelica used one of her contacts within the Police department as well as her position on the Park board to receive transcripts of the investigations that had gone on thus far. They all met up at Tristy’s room yet again and discussed what it could all mean. Tristy paged through her spell book and then gasped in terror as a picture of a hideous beetle-like demon. She showed it to Dante who recalled hearing of it from his Uncle one time. She looked at the creature illustration then looked to the opposite page. Intermingled with demonic facts there was a spell to summon it. Tristy looked at it wondering why a spell like that was in her family spell book. She let the question go as Angelica and Dante began to put the pieces together. They looked at the information they had.

1) The man attacked the night before was part of one of the light concerts and was practicing with others in the morning

2)A woman was attacked near a club, she lived only because she landed on the roof of the club near huge red neon lights.

3)A man reported seeing a creature attack street lights as they turned red.

4)People report seeing something coming from the direction of the Park. Those in the park say they saw it flying from the marsh near the park.

With this information they pieced together that the creature was drawn to red light as well as only comes out at night and lived in the Marsh. Tristy filled in a few of the holes like that it had razor studded hide plates covering its skin as well as sharp claws and a proboscis that was razor tipped. They tired to figure out what to do as well as figure out who had summoned it originally. Of course Tristy was out of the picture because she hadn’t arrived until that afternoon and the first attack was the night before that. The only other major suspect was a girl, named Sheryl, who had had some verbal scuffles with him the day before. Well, they did some spitting up. Tristy had discovered that a press conference had been scheduled and was going to be taking place at the main conference hall so she decided to head there along with Angelica. Dante headed off on his own to interrogate Sheryl.

Act 5

Amazingly enough no one came back from their little outings with any more information and Dante only got an invitation to a party in one of the hotels conference rooms. Angelica figured that someone should go to the party because she had seen large spot lights being set out in front of the building and that was sure to attract the thing. They all agreed and headed off to get ready for the party.

Dante, Angelica, and Tristy all met at the main entrance dressed in their finest. However, Tristy then remembered that she forgot her protection charm upstairs and headed back into the elevator headed for her room. Making it to her room she opened the door. The room was trashed and the large bay window along the wall was obliterated. She took a few steps into the room and then heard a loud crash come from her room then a humming sound. The demon came around the corner and saw Tristy. She screamed and slammed the door behind her as she left running to the elevator having the doors close just as the thing busted through penthouse wall. Collecting herself she attempted to slow her breathing. The elevator door opened to the main entrance again and before her stood at least twenty people dressed in white robes. She gasped thinking about running or screaming as the looked directly at her. She lowered her head and began to cry as they filed in. They garbed her by her arms and stood her up not saying a word.  She felt the elevator ascending again. Eventually it stopped and the doors opened revealing her to be on the roof. She starred in horror as fifty more men in white robes and pointed hoods stood about on the rooftop.

Act 6

Angelica was beginning to wonder where Tristy had gone for so long and decided she would go to her room. She headed to the elevators as it closes leaving the main entrance empty. She waited for a while but finally got into the elevator and up to her room. The elevator doors opened and Angelica starred in awestruck horror as she saw the devastation wrought upon the penthouse. She clicked the first floor button and the doors closed her face still a grimace of terror. Upon reaching the entrance hall she ran to tell Dante however, before she was able she caught sight of a man in a white robe jumping into the elevator. Not recalling any sort of shows involving such attire she watches as the elevator scaled the number above the elevator door coming to rest on the roof. Feeling their was no time to waste she leapt to the stairs and scaled them as fast as possible.

Tristy looked around her and watched as they brought forth a wooden cross. They laid her down upon it and strapped her arms and legs to it. They then heaved it up into a metallic stand secured to the roof. A person came to the front and began to address the rest. He shouted that this girl had performed blasphemy for her wicked ways of witchcraft and sodomy. He then took a piece of wood wrapped in an alcohol soaked cloth and lit the end. He allowed it to burn for a minute then set it to the cross. Tristy felt the heat as the fire traveled from the base eventually screaming in pain as it scalded her flesh. Somehow, though through the pain she was filled with a sudden rage at the injustices done to her. Her mind swam with previously unknown incantation each one promising an excruciating death to those that would harm her. Before she even realized it her lips were chanting in some unknown tongue a spell of death and pain.

Angelica reached the roof breathing a bit heavier. She kicked open the door and gazed at the mayhem before her. About a hundred hooded individuals stood gazing upon Tristy on a flaming cross. She looked a Tristy for a moment watching her lips move and the wind echoing the words she was saying. She stood mesmerized by the flames as they seemed to cascade off of Tristy’s body then all was silent, there was not a sound, not even the wind that had been there before. She looked at Tristy’s face, which only smiled as it peered down at them. Then the flames exploded into a swirling pillar reaching into the blackened sky. Instantly fifteen of those assembled were incinerated by the intense hellfire. Tristy’s bonds were reduced to ash and she just floated within her flaming pillar. Her eyes glazed over and filled with blackness that seemed eternal. The other cloaked members could only star in amazement some attempted to flee but most were destroyed as Tristy caused the pillar to become larger and larger with each passing moment. Angelica could think of little to do but stare in wonder and amazement as Tristy’s column of hellfire began to cover most of the roof. She recoiled from the flames as they passed within inches of the slayer’s face. Then out of the corner of her eye she caught a glimpse of a winged creature hovering in the sky overhead. It emitted a high pinched shriek then dove at the flaming pillar. Tristy looked up as the demon crashed into her fiery column. The flames leapt out at it and it recoiled at the heat quickly turning away at the sight and flew off.

Three members were left atop the roof driving at the door attempting to break it down to save themselves. Tristy turned her gaze towards them and instantly they were consumed in fire. Instantly the pillar dissipated and Tristy collapsed to the ground unconscious with massive cuts across her body. Angelica without a second thought ran to her, scooped her up in her arms, and headed down the stair well, who’s door miraculously opened.

Act 7

Dante stepped outside for a moment for some air when he a glow from the roof fade away thinking that was rather out of the ordinary he decided he better go check it out. He began to scale the stairs when he saw Angelica bounding down them with Tristy in her arms. She told Dante to get on her cell phone for her privet limo, which the very next moment arrived. Angelica gave a quick synopsized version of all that she saw while she placed Tristy into the back of the limo. She also told Dante that he better come with her so they could finally be rid of that insectoid looking demon while they helped Tristy.

As they drove to the hospital they came up with more and more plans each one less plausible then the next. They had already established that it lived in the swamp near the theme park and that it was attracted to red lights. The only problem was that Tristy’s spell was the first time that they had ever even seen the thing be hurt and with her now unconscious there was little hope of her doing it again. There was only one choice and that was to just use up some of Angelica’s favors in the government to get a S.W.A.T. team (how ironically appropriate). These were some major favors and ones that may even cause her and Dante to have to return a portion of them. However, that was their only choice.

Final Act

With the professionals coming in there was little our group had to do. Dante and Angelica helped as much as possible with tactics and ways of killing it. The only major thing they had to do was convince the team that what they were facing was a demon, and believe you me, that was no easy task. The next night the team set up with snipers and tracking devices with over a dozen police cruisers out there to provide the flashing red lights. They met at the field near where the first death had occurred and sure enough it came in like a moth to a flame (pardon the really, really bad pun). With one shot the tracking device embedded itself into the creatures softer underbelly. It of course flew off but gave them the critical information of where the thing’s nest was. The next morning they nuked the hell out of it without the group lifting a finger. Of course this came as a great relief to them as they finally got to enjoy their last few days of the summer.
