S2E1: Time Goes By
Written by: Trenton
Opening
Scene
We see Dante and Glen walking into school which houses a
large banner over the door saying “Welcome to the 2003-2004 school year” Dante
and Glen both nod at each other in sort of a mutual agreement of how stupid
Principal Dahmer could be. They also made passing conversation on how they
couldn’t wait to finally be out of high school at the end of the year. As they
walked through the hallways they quickly stopped by Mr. K’s office for some
quick recap of what he had done over the summer. Mr. K of course said that he
had been nowhere important, but Dante saw otherwise. Plane tickets from across
the globe stuck out of his satchel. One especially caught Dante’s attention as
it said Britain. He inquired on how the Council of Watchers was doing both in
Hong Kong and in Britain. Before the conversation could go any further A young
woman came into his office. Dante recognized her immediately as Angelica. Mr. K
stood and introduced Angelica to both Dante and Glen saying that they were some
of his “special students” with a quick wink at Angelica. As conversation
progressed further Dante discovered that she was a substitute teacher for Mrs.
Dahmer in the English department who had moved to administration with her
husband. The bell rang and Angelica said with a slight grin that she looked
forward to having Dante in her class.
Act 1
We see our “heroes” sitting around the lunch table in their
senior year of high school laughing over the conversation of the first day of
school when they first met Angelica. However, they also came onto the subject of
Hope. Hope had not been seen for weeks now (It was close to Halloween by now).
Dante laughed as the others looked puzzled. He told everyone to lean in closer.
Hope was out patrolling with Mr. K and they were doing a
little practice sparing while they waited for yet another unfortunate vamp to
have a rude wake up call from their unlife in the grave. Hope did a quick
spinning back kick but Mr. K dodged with a quick back flip. Both stood and
looked at each other for a moment when they heard a whooshing sound above them.
Dante, who had snuck along was hiding atop the mausoleum looked up and swore it
sound like a helicopter. The sound became louder and louder until he finally saw
it. It flew low to the ground and was relatively quiet for being a helicopter.
Five men slid down ropes, which they threw from the copter. Then came the figure
of a woman. Angelica flipped from it and landed perfectly on top of the
mausoleum. Dante stood up quickly dropping his beloved ax as the five men
pointed rifles at him. Angelica looked at Hope and told her that the Council did
not feel that she had been trained properly and must be taken to the mother
country to be tested then given to a new watcher. Mr. K looked mortified.
Angelica jumped from the stone rooftop landing on the soft grass. Both slayers
faced off against each other. Hope refused to go quietly. It was a brief
sparring match, which actually in the beginning seemed to go bad for Angelica as
she was stabbed with a stake in the shoulder. However, things soon went her way
as she was able to head lock Hope and then have her tranquilized by the covert
team. Then no sooner did they appear then they were gone into the night with
nothing more than the sound of a humming of helicopter blades. Mr. K was the
first to react. He climbed atop the mausoleum and looked at Dante. “Those
weren’t part of the council,” he said with a severe look on his face. “I know.”
was all Dante said with a slight grin.

Act 2
The party is again laughing, this time at Hopes final moments
in Pleasantville. Then switching from one missing person to one that was not
seen by the student body since the beginning of last year Tristy brings up Bob.
She brings up how his vampire side seems to have been sedated and he no longer
attempts to bleed her dry every time she’s around. Glen also brings up his
strange alternate personality as a sort of vampiric super-soldier. Dante again
leans in for another story.
Bob was alone in Dante’s room awaiting the arrival of his
keeper. Hours go by but still no Dante. Bob looks out the window and finds the
sun has set and that he is free of his bonds for the first time in over a month.
He seizes upon the opportunity and leaps out the window. For posterity sake he
decides to call up Dante’s cell phone from a local pay phone. Dante warns Bob
not to wander and that he would be right there. Well, Bob, first of all, not one
to listen to anyone, as well as one who is hungry for fresh blood bolts from the
phone booth and goes out stalking. He enters the park and spies a lovely little
tidbit and begins to woo the woman with his charms. Needless to say that does
not work well and soon he resorts to his more bestial nature. The woman pulls
out a nice pocket tranq gun and shoots Bob. He falls unconscious. When he
awakens he finds himself strapped to a surgical table in a very bright white
room. A man enters and addresses Bob with a simple “Hello, Bob this procedure
would normally hurt a lot but seeing as how your skull no longer feels pain the
way humans do this should be relatively simple. Bob attempts to struggle free
but to no avail. Soon he feels a gentle vibration in the back of his head and a
gentle light-headedness. He slips yet again into unconsciousness. He awakens
with the same man looming over him and his bonds are no longer around him. Bob
lunges at the “doctor” but an immense pain wells up in the back of his head as
though it is being ripped apart from the inside. The good doctor steps back and
simply says “process complete.” Then the door opens and Dante walks in smiling
at Bob. “See, I told you not to wander.”

Final Act
The group hears the bell ring and they take their trays from
the table and deposit everything in its proper place. They all make idle chit
chat. Debbie is talking to Dante about how horrible it was that Hope was gone
without Debbie even having a chance to tell her how much of a crush she had on
her. Dante merely say s how happy he is that they have a proper slayer in town.
Tristy and Glen talk about what plans they have after high school and sneak
quick kiss as they pass Principal Dahmer. We fade out as our group cliché-ly
walks laughing down the hall.
