Series 1 Episode 8:
Ghost be Gone
Screen Written by
Opening Scene:
Hope is at home in her bed reading Grays
Anatomy Compendium. A breeze whips the window open. Hope jumps at the sound
but quickly regains her composure. Setting the book down on her bedside table
she gets out of bed. Strolling over to the window a breeze blows by her cheek.
Without warning she falls out of her window into the bushes. Looking around to
see if somebody pushed her she sees no one. Clambering out of the bushes brushing
herself off she feels a sharp pain in her side. Looking down a needle is
sticking out of it. She grabs the needle and pulls it out. A sensation of
relaxation fills her body and she falls to the ground unconscious. You see the
slayer being drug away by “no one.”
Tristy is with her aunt; both are
running around grabbing assorted jars and containers. They bring them to a
table near the stove. Opening one at a time they pour them into a large
cauldron. After all of the containers are emptied Tristy begins to stir. A
sudden cloud of smoke rises from the cauldron. She brings attention to this
fact and thinks that they may have put to much jasmine into the brew. Tristy’s
aunt says that they can balance the mixture with some nightshade in the
basement. Running to the basement stairs she begins her decent. Out of nowhere
She feels her feet being pulled out from underneath her. Grabbing for the
railing she misses and ends up going top over tea kettle landing in a heap at
the bottom of the stairs broken but alive. In her mind she is hurled into a
room with a long table and a Vampire sitting at the one side herself at the
other. Tristy rationalizes it as a vision and waits for the things next move.
In a silky venomous voice “greetings.” Tristy bows in response. He then goes on
about this one slayer that once entered his life. Her name was Joan and was a
commander of the French army. He regaled Tristy with the tale of how he had
drained the life from her body and took her skull as a trophy. At this he
stopped and walked over to a wall with several strange “decorations” such as
blood and preserved heads in jars and next to them all was a skull he picked it
up and continued his story. It ended with a fact that that same day that he
killed her she somehow was back from the dead leading her army to victory once
again. Tristy asked if this woman was Joan de Ark. He replied yes. Tristy
snapped back into reality by the sheer fact that this was the first time that
one of her visions had reacted to her. Tristy gets up off the floor of the
basement and grabs the railing. A sharp pain emanates from her back. Looking to
it she sees a needle, with that she collapses one more.
The scene comes in on Hope strapped to a chair
in a solid white teddy. She is still unconscious. The room suddenly becomes
more apparent as a dank, dreary place what seems to be underground with a door
as the only means of escape. It flies open and Tristy come “hovering” in. she
too is unconscious but seems to be being carried by something. She is plopped
down into a chair opposite to Hope. The straps on that chair then, one at a
time are bound around her wrists and ankles. A powerful force then slaps Tristy
across the face causing her to slowly regain conscious. When her wits are about
her she takes in the scene and comes to the realization that she has been
kidnapped. She beings to shout at Hope to wake up, but to no avail. A paper bag
comes floating in the room from the door. That’s when it hits her that this
must be the person that showed up at the library and at Ms. Dunnal’s house.
Panicking she begins to struggle against her bonds. A voice coming from the
right of her makes her stop. It begins to say in a masculine voice that he was
going to make her and her whore of a friend pay for ignoring him. Again she
tries to escape the bonds. Another needle comes from the bag and closes on her.
Then into her arm he jabs it. A slow dulling feeling cascades over her and her
head begins to lull up and down.
Dante is on the computer checking
his e-mail when a message pops up from Randal. He says in the message that he
found a weird site that seems to be of a basement and that it looks like Tristy
and Hope were there (I guess you can find anything on the Internet). A little
investigation work on the Internet and he finds the site. Affirming Randal’s
fears Dante confers that that is Tristy and Hope. He gathers up a large
collection of cutlery and tear gas and is out the door.
Meanwhile, back in the basement
Tristy and Hope are both inebriated by the special concoction that their captor
came up with. Both are bruised and broken after hours of torture and
punishment. A pair of scissors comes out of the bag. They come towards Hope and
open leaving one of her fingers between the blades. Just as they begin to shut
Tristy snaps out of her “trance” and concentrates on the shears sending them
flying at a wall, lodging them firmly there. Sounds of struggle come from them
and the scissors. After a little bit the scissors dislodge and once again they
advance on the pair. This time they head straight for Hope blades closed. In a
thrusting movement they punch straight through her hand and blood splashes
everywhere. A sudden ring brings all the attention away from the grizzly scene.
The door from the basement slams open than shut again, and a sound of footsteps
heading up stairs.
Dante is prowling around the
entrance to the house. Glen is parking the car and then with bow in hand takes
aim for the first thing that pops out adding a nice backup. Turning down a
hallway he stops and curses under his breath. In this hallway are ten doors
stemming from it. Out of nowhere an axe comes flying at him from a prone
position on the floor. Looking for his assailant he spots a bloody, translucent
hand floating in the air. Again the axe is raised but this time Dante raises
his own and swings with deadly purpose. The hit strikes severing the hand clean
from whatever it was attached to. Blood squirts from the invisible man and
leaves a blood trail as it leaves through the front door. Dante keeps
maneuvering down the hallways trying to help his friends first and tells Glen
to go after him. She bolts out the door. Searching each door he eventually fins
one with stairs leading down into the basement. As he goes down them his foot
hit a wire. He stops just before it would be triggered. Thinking for a moment
he decides that he can’t wait for Glen to come and help him so he jumps from
the stairs hopping to avoid any pyrotechnics. None occurred and Dante gets to
his feet and this time a bit more cautiously takes off to find Hope and Tristy.
At that same time they are suddenly struck with a long wave of electricity.
Trekking down checking every door he finally finds them. With a deft throw of
his axe the electrical cord supplying the current is severed. Unstrapping
Tristy he places her on the floor then turns to free Hope. Tristy slowly comes
to and at that begins to cry and shake telling about all the things that this
person did to her and Hope. Hope to comes into the realm of the conscious. At
this Dante tells her to help Glen get their invisible stalker. Without a second
thought she goes charging out of the house to hunt down the guy who did this.
Dante and Tristy slowly leave the house and get into Glens car. A while latter
Glen and Hope come back with no results and they drive off bruised and beaten.
Tristy is back at home with Dante
and Glen (Hope has yet to give up the search for their attacker). They all try
to make each other feel better about this whole situation but with no luck.
They can’t get over how angry this guy was and how he could strike any of them.
A Tristy look around then in a determined voice says that she will make him pay
if he ever comes near her again.
