Series 1 Episode 5:
Screen Written by Mr. K
Opening
Scene:
Shortly
after Ruby’s death and funeral (Supposedly Hope and Glen were at the funeral,
but they must have been lurking in the background, Liz insisted that she was
there), but prior to the start of the Sweeps Week we find ‘Derek’ a young Asian
man in a back alley who has just spotted three guys and a girl together. Derek
notices that the three men are not what they really look like, but most likely
they are actually vamps, but he is not sure. So he gets closer to the action.
Suddenly the girl is yelling ‘help me’! She realized too late that the three
men were not nice looking guys just hanging out in the alley sharing their
sunny disposition (talk about the ultimate airhead). One of the vamps grabs
her. He was shoved down by Derek and the girl lands on top of him. She says
“Hey, I’m not that fresh”. The vamp decides to just have a quick snack. Slurp,
she is dead. Derek is grabbed around the legs by the second vamp and the third tackles
him to the ground.
It
doesn’t look good for our new hero. Derek valiantly manages to break free.
Derek proceeds to run away (I believe his true colors are actually starting to
show). He is pursued by the vamps, when suddenly they get around the corner and
Hope, who was just out patrolling prior to getting home for her curfew,
suddenly pops out of nowhere and clothes line both vamps. Derek runs behind a
dumpster desperately looking for some type of wooden weapon. Desperate Derek
dives into the dumpster looking for a scrap of wood, luck has he finds a broken
crate piece. Meanwhile Hope dusts the vamp that just had a snack. Derek jumps
out and is again attack by two vamps, not looking good, Hope jumps on one and
stakes him while the third quickly snaps a digital picture and runs off. Hope
lost him around the corner.
Derek
freaked out and ran away. Down through the alley he and he ran straight home.
He thought he managed to loose the ‘crazy’ girl wielding a stake and dusting
‘people’ (that’s our Hope). Hiding in his house he hears the doorbell ring. He
attempts to not answer the bell, but Hope determined to the ‘T’ continues her
ringing. Finally she opens the door and has a rather long conversation with
him.
“Cut”
yells the director. “Finally, it’s a wrap. That has to be the longest 30 second
opening scene on record (90 minutes). Ok, crew lets gets this show on over to
the main lot and get filming, we are wasting valuable light!” as the director
rambles.
Act
1:
The
‘Scooby’ crew scatters to the four winds, except for Hope. Hope decided to stay
home instead. The rest started to gather information concerning the biker gang
in town. They find out it is a pack of female vampire bikers! Through ‘unknown’
sources Glen finds out their lair, the old abandoned factory. Needless to say
the ‘contacts’ want her to deliver a special package later this week. They go
there after packing various ‘tools’ for the job. A lot of time is spent at
Dante’s house going through the famous catalogue of stuff.
Act
2:
After
checking out the building and discovering various alarms on the doors the group
decides to use the roof as a means of entrance into the old factory. Oddly
enough the roof’s ventilation fan is still operating. Strange that a vampire
biker gang needs ventilation, but nobody questioned the oddity of that
statement on they went climbing down the ventilation duck into the warehouse.
Unknown to anybody the roof was also alarmed and set off a silent alarm. Inside
Gabby sets up. She grabs her sniper rifle and begins scoping out the scene. One
by one they file on out of the vent and landing on top the crates. Finally she
finds a clear shot on one, Derek. Bam! The shot is heard and Derek falls to the
next crate after being hit. The rest have already jump on down. Gabby moves in
closer to get another shot, decides to shoot at the middle of the vent instead.
Bam! A second shot is heard. Lucky for Tristy she had
already moved out of the vent after the first shot. Suddenly Gabby gets a bead on
a second party member, Glen. Bam! A third shot is heard, but again it missed
it’s intended target (too many actions in one turn).
Act
3:
Glen
races off towards the bikes and madly hot wires the lights to finally be able
to see who is actually shooting at them. Two Chicas
jump on top of the crates and attempt to attack Hope and Derek. Hope kicks one
off and the other grabs Derek foot before he is able to finish his kick (Bad
day for Derek). Glen starts one of the bikes up and charges after Gabby just
narrowly missing her and fantastically spins stopping the bike prior to
crashing through the wall. Glen spins the bike around and attempts to run Gabby
over a second time, and just misses her.
Glen continues forward towards the fallen vamp lying on the floor and
runs her over. Then the vamp falls down to the ground pulling Derek along with
her. Crash the both fall. Glen crashes the bike through the garage door and
smashes a whole through it. Day pours into the factory turning the vamps into smoky
screaming vamps.
Finale:
The
scene cuts quickly to a TV with a sci-fi show on. They boy who is watching TV
suddenly grabs his remote and points it to the TV and the TV character is
standing before him.
