Opening Scene:
We find ourselves at the school at
lunch. The ‘Scooby’ gang is sitting around the table doing assortments of
things. Ruby has her spellbook out while Tristy rifles through a new copy of Dreams
and What they Mean to You. Dante and Glen pour over a weapons catalog,
while Hope examines a medical text. After a time of studying Dante and Hope go
and get some lunch, but when they return they look rather disgusted. With good
reason, the food looks awful and smells even worse. This immediately drives
Tristy and Ruby from the table followed shortly by Glen. Hope puts the spoon to
her lips and begins to gag she runs off to the office to see the nurse. Dante
too goes to see the nurse. Not surprising with the type of food that there is a
line at the office.
Act1:
We come in on Dante in the nurse’s
office waiting to be sent home. The nurse walks in and is drop-dead gorgeous, a
perfect 10, a knockout, a goddess, the babe, however you want to say it she was
HOT. Coming over to Dante she grabs the thermometer and jams it in his mouth.
After a minute she comes back over and rips it out of his mouth. With a gasp
she tells Dante that he has a 96.8-degree fever and must go home early (where
still trying to find out if she likes him or if she’s really that stupid). With
a call home his Uncle; he comes to pick him up.
As for the remaining three, they
head off to their third block class, which happens to be T.V. Productions with
Mr. K. As the bell rings they notice that they are the only ones in the class.
Getting up from their stations they go down to Mr. K’s
desk and begin to have some idle discussion (It’s not like their actually going
to have class). Ten minutes pass and than an announcement comes over the
intercom that all students should report to the gym for an assembly. Filing
down to the gymnasium our three remaining ‘Scooby’ members discuss things they
need to do tonight. Coming into the gym only 75 other students are there. Sitting
down in the top most stands in the left hand side, Ruby and Tristy grab out
their spell books and begin thinking of ways to use them, Glen being a
‘mundane’ (non-natural witch) engages Mr. K in conversation about the
weaknesses of various supernatural creatures. At that moment the Doors slam
shut and 25 people in fatigue clothing run in with rifles.
Act2:
We reenter with our three white
hatters held hostage in the gym. Without a second thought the lead member pulls
out a remote device. Ruby gasps as she recognizes him. It’s her foster father
and her brothers. The leader pushes one of the buttons on the device and a loud
explosion rings out from the far side of the building (the greenhouse atrium). Not
waiting around for them to start killing people Ruby and Tristy grab hands and
concentrate on The Head member. Focusing he suddenly is propelled into the
ceiling and then came crashing back down. However, on his decent he
unexpectedly transforms. His skin rips and out of it comes a horned figure with
claws and hard muscular hide. Landing with a crash the beast clambers to its
feet and emits a loud howl. At that the rest of the terrorists become demons.
Both Ruby and Tristy are shocked at the sudden turn of events. Tristy screams
out in panic.
Act3:
Across town Dante hears a familiar
voice in his head screaming for him to come (It’s Tristy). Dante begins to
gather up supplies. At that same moment Hope hears sirens heading for the
school and a loud rumbling. Looking towards the school from her house she sees
smoke. She too rushes off. Hope arrives first and sees the police line forming.
Running strait for the school and for the front door, the police warn her to
stop, she refuses. At that five of them fire teaser lines, all hit, and she
goes down (truly her intentions where noble). Dante arrives shortly after and
spies them putting Hope into a squad car, though she is still unconscious, he
chooses not to get involved and heads for a manhole. Finding one he slips down
into the sewer and is off to get into the school a slightly more stealthily (if
smellier) way.
Back inside the school Glen in the
initial chaos slips out with the help of one of Ruby’s brothers (he didn’t
change and it is the nice one) Mr. K to slips out undetected. This leaves
Tristy and Ruby to their own devices. With all of the Demons fighting with the
rest of the student body only the Head demon was coming after them. Again both
of them combine their power to send the creep flying into the wall. Getting back
up it brushes off the dust, but looks unscathed. As another demon charges the
two they break their grip and are both sent to opposite sides of the gym.
Spellbook in hand Ruby pours a circle of dust around her and begins chanting.
Four demons charge her and in one spectacular motion all of them ignite in
flame. Meanwhile, on the other side of the gym, Tristy in also showing her
prowess as a witch. Tacking a feather out of her pocket. Two demons begin
clawing at her. Gently blowing on the feather a great gale forms around her and
casts the demons aside like rag dolls.
Act4:
Outside once more the cops decide
to run into the building (nobody ever said that Pleasantville cops where smart)
Charging in the strategically place themselves around the door. Running in they
head to the gym.
Meanwhile Dante is still in the
sewers and Hope is still unconscious. Back in the gym Tristy
and Ruby manage to get back together and think of what to do next. That is when
the police burst into the gym. Holding their guns out in front of them, they
out of the blue turn into crossbows. Firing upon what demons are left. The big
bad charges Ruby and slams her to the ground falling on top of her. She reaches
into her dress pocket and grab some more of that dust. Tacking out a lighter
she lights it on fire and the demon and Ruby are set aflame. Tristy with last little bit of strength she has left
concentrates on the thing and sends him flying spattering his remains all over
the wall. Collapsing after it’s done.
Final Act:
All of our heroes manage to
reunite (after first having medical treatment or being released from police
custody) Gathering themselves they believe that they have just been a witness
to a sort of Demon Jihad. We are all pretty sure that there wont be any school
the next day and with the last few hours of light social services tells Ruby
her new foster family will be the school librarian, Ms. Liana Dunnal (just a minor note she is suspected of being a
witch). With little to look forward to the gang partakes in a little vamp hunt
to get themselves back to basics.
