Background

        Boy you would think things would change in Pleasantville after 240 years, but no. They just seem to stay the same.  Well it makes no difference to me. Hello, I’m Ms. Dunnal, the school librarian. That’s just my day job don’t worry. I have taken residence in this hellhole (literally) for the past 200 years.

        I know that’s impossible right, but you’re wrong, I’m actually dead and have been that way for the same amount of time. I lived in Pleasantville back when they were still burning witches (boy was that an interesting time) strait through to the organization of this Wicca thing. Still, your wondering how I am talking to you right now if I’m dead. That’s simple when I was still living a group in Pleasantville decided to get a hair up their butt and came knocking at my door asking to hang me for blasphemy against God. Well in the initial chaos they got me to the executioner and hung me right then and their. Well I went to this bright place with lots of light. Then a group of these people who where there, called elders, told me to protect those with the gift of magic and to make sure that the nexus situated in Pleasantville stayed shut. I agreed and they gave me a nice new body. Since that point I was known as a white lighter, and I came to the aid of many witches in and around the Nexus.

        In those years after my “accession” I saw it all from demons that would make you wet your pants with fright to cute little bunnies that eat the brains of their victims.

        Also with all this spare time on my hands I figured I should start compiling a nice library of things on the supernatural for my benefit and that of my charges. It has taken me 150 years but I think I almost have a big enough collection. At last count it was somewhere in the millions just of my book section. Eventually space became an issue and I found a job as a librarian. With my impressive knowledge on a verity of subjects I was a shoe in. I then began to create my very own bat cave underneath the school for my collection. Talk about a heft tab for a measly underground lair.

        In recent days I had a new charge named Ruby but she didn’t service long enough for me to even explain that I was her white lighter. I digress, and have taken to library waiting for another charge to appear. I also haven’t forgotten to keep and eye on the Nexus. I do fear however that something evil has come to Pleasantville with intentions to open the Nexus. This I can not have and thus I am forced to take a more direct roll helping Mr. K’s bunch of kids. Whether my knowledge will help them or not waits to be seen but I think it will.

Roleplaying:

                If there is some book pertaining to the occult you have it. You have one of the most through and complete volumes of occult knowledge than anyone else within a 1,000-mile radius of Pleasantville. You also have experienced most of the history of Pleasantville and thus you have seen it all from demons to slayers. The occult is your passion and when you don’t have to help one of your charges you spend most of your time compiling your great library. Don’t forget your fieldwork though you have over the centuries you have been able to accumulate great power as a witch as well as white lighter.
