My life used to be dull. My life was all planned out for me - private school, then an ivy league college, then marry a guy with the right breeding. I would have anything money can buy and occasionally I would get to see my parents. It was, well hollow and empty.
Suddenly I became a Slayer and it all changed. Hopefully I will make a difference. Fortunately my parents barely know I exist, so going on patrol isn't a problem. They don't even mind when I told them I take a year off of college and "practice teaching in Pleasantville". Daddy's platinum card sure has come in handy, now I can make sure we're never short of crossbow bolts, body armor, and rare books.
The largest problem is my social life, it doesn't exist anymore. My old friends just don't understand. My ex-boyfriend Cliff thinks I'm insane and he accidentally fell into a hunt, and he had a nervous breakdown. I guesse my life among the rich and famous is not going be what it use to be. Maybe the year off in Pleasantville will do me some good.
Now I'm hanging out with a bunch of teenagers and practice teaching in Pleasantville. Most of them don't have a lot of money and I think they resent me. It's no like my allowance is bigger than a lawyer's yearly income. They are good people, with a real sense of right and wrong. I only wish they'd stop with the bad nick name "Princess".
