Callisto is the daughter from a simple peasant family during the Greek empire. Her entire family and village was wiped out by Xena’s army. Callisto swore she would get Xena. She continuously created schemes to get Xena. During one of her schemes, she crossed swords with Hercules. Hercules managed to seal Callisto in an underground dungeon. Callisto managed to find the Apples of Life and ate one. She became very powerful, a demigod. She continued to go after Xena, until she ended up fighting another demigod and both plunged into a pit of lava.
She remained in the lava pit for centuries. Even lava could not kill her. Then during the Armageddon a fraction of the Mad Gods unearthed Callisto. When she emerged she destroyed all of them. Shortly afterwards the war ended. She continues to search for Xena, she knows she is still around (delusions). Currently she is working with the humans to destroy the remaining demons and mad gods.

Callisto is psychotic. She is really off the deep end. She wants to destroy Xena. Her entire goal is destroyin Xena. She sees and talks to things that well are hard to believe.
