| "Reality" |
| In a world torn by bias, hatred and change, You sit and you dream of a world that is well, Where people are equal, where innocent aren't killed Where you are free from harm, to do as you will. Where there is no war, only kindness and peace. Where hunger doesn't happen, and there's food for a feast. Where blood isn't shed on the streets by the hour, Where everything is safe, and you don't have to cower. Then the coldness and sharpness of reality strikes, And you suddenly realize nothing is real, nothing is right. That the world truly is this horrible way. And you sit and you cry, your heart filled with dismay. |
