Paige has just commented on Phoebe's joke about her becoming a
vampire) Piper:

so funny. So when do you think he's gonna come back?-
You see? It's just not Phoebe who's been missing Cole. Even Piper's
curious as to when he's gonna return! And we just know that he won't be
for the entire length of the episode.
