How is Pride like a Donut?
Pride is the feeling of self confidence and self-worth. So how in the world does that have anything to do with a donut? Donuts go through a lot of things in their lives. First their dough is prepared, thrown around, shaped and formed into the design or shape the baker wants. Second, donuts are thrown into a 500 degree oven and cooked. After their cooked to perfection, the donut is topped off with some sort of crazy topping - glazed, sugar, choclate, maple, cream filled, jelly filled, and much more. When the donut is finally finished it is put at the window of a shelf and is sold to happy customers; at that point the donut must have pride from being purchased and then devoured by little Jimmy.
