Most people know Alexander the Great as a hero, one with no troubles and had conquered most of the world. Little does most of the world know Alexander had been going through many hard ships and tragedies all throughout his life. As a young boy, Alexander's parents had been fighting for years; my guess is because his dad was always gone on campaigns, being a king and everything. Another thing Alexander went through was his dad being assasinated; leaving him with an entire country to lead, which was falling apart by the moment. Alexander had also killed many people, some even actually being his friends. In a drunk rage, he killed one of his closest friends; and when he became sober he almost killed himself after knowing what he had done. The only thing that was holding him back from killing himself was his body guards. Personally, I don't think I could have juggled around murders, assasinations, parents fighting, and a whole nation to lead; but he managed to pull it through and still be seen as a god to some people. |
