I had to open the crate when I started to build the cradle to get a measurement from the main spar to the leading edge, so I knew how deep to cut for the leading edge. Otherwise the wings wouldn't store level. I couldn't find this measurement anywhere in the drawing. |

I built the cradle per Vans instructions on DWG 15. I used the plastic wingtips that were packed with the fuselage to get the right shape for the leading edge. I cut it a little larger and used some foam padding to protect the skins, although that part is not shown in the picture yet. |

I put the cradle on two 4-wheel dollies so I could move the wings around the workshop.This is the Spar end of the cradle.
