Engine
Although it may be a bit early, I have ordered an IO-320 from Don's Dream Machines in Griffin Georgia.

I met Don while I was at Alexander Technical building my empennage. I visited Don's shop and was happy with what I saw, so I ordered an engine while I was there.

He is going to build an IO-320 with higher compression pistons, a modified cam, LASAR Ignition, hollow crank for constant speed prop, and some other things I don't understand, but know are going to be great!

I talked to Don today and my engine is ready!! He will be sending it in a few days. I will mount it as soon as I get it to start hooking things up. Although I will probably not be starting it till the spring of 2005.More info and pictures to follow as it progresses !!!

I checked with Don at Don's Dream Machines, he told me he was still waiting on the exhaust. I will be out of the country for the next two weeks, so I asked him to hold on to it till I get back.

I talked to Don today and the exhaust is completed and the engine runs great. However the crankshaft is not hollow. I had ordered the engine to have a hollow crank so I can use a constant speed prop. Don said he had forgotten and never really thought about it because he said "it is rare to see one that is not hollow". Anyway I told him I would take the engine like it is and he made me a good deal on a fixed pitch prop and spinner. Well I suppose I will get the engine sometime this year..........

Well my engine has finally arrived. Now I need to get a few friends together and hang it. Then once I hang it I can take the pole out of the back of the fuselage that has been supporting the rear since I put it up on the gear legs.
