Controls
I finally installed the pushrod from the control sticks to the elevator bellcrank. I have had these pieces done for a while, but did not install them because I was working on other things around them. But now was the time to put them in.
Elevators were clamped in trail, then the horns were drilled using a wood block with a pre-drilled hole from a drill press, to keep the elevator horns perfectly aligned with each other.
Left and Right control sticks installed
Adjusting the length of the bellcrank to elevator control horns pushrod
The bellcrank was placed in the neutral position by placing a socket through the pre-drilled hole to capture the bolt for the 'stick to bellcrank' pushrod.
Now with the bellcrank in the neutral position, and the elevators clamped in trail of the HS, the tie rods were adjusted to line up with the holes in the horns.
The rudder/brake pedal arms were installed for the final time. The support arm is now riveted in as well.
