Valantian races use a calander exactly like ours, which was invented by the elves. Their year and calander is commonly used throughout the known world of Valantia.

| 315 to 350 | Elves again war with human barbarian hordes invading The Great Forest. This time elves have yet to replenish their numbers from previous war due to slow reproduction, and lose badly. Elves flee westward, deep into The Great Forest. |
| 400 | First dwarvish kingdom, Kordredon, forms when Dargath unites all the clans in the Ironback Mountains. |
| 450 | Halflings tribes unite and form The Shire in the hills south of The Great Forest, under the leadership of mayor Brandywine. |
| 500 | First human kingdom, Airitor, forms when Davion unites the barbarian tribes in eastern half of what used to be The Great Forest. |
| 1190 | Plague spreads across Airitor. Church of Mane saves many lives and is given land deep in the south eastern unsettled part of the kingdom as a reward. The church starts constuction on a citidel there named "Mane's Keep". |

| 1194 to 1205 | War of Kordredon. Goblinoid forces led by a red dragon dubbed "Cruel Trick" by the dwarves, wage war deep in the mountains against the dwarves for their citidel. During this war, the dwarves forge a powerful weapon, "The Maelstrom", to use against the dragon who led the attack. The sword was named after the human knight commander Sir Ulric uth Maelstrom, of the Airtorian allies aiding the dwarves for which it was given too.. Ulric is killed in the siege and his famous great sword was given to his 10 year old son, Elric. After an 11 year war against the army of the red dragon,the dwarf kingdom fell. The surviving dwarves are scattered, with most fleeing to Airitor and Cvirheblen. |
| 1225 | Sir Elric Maelstrom after a long stint of service to the king, is given the title of Baron and granted land in the eastern, unsettled half of the kingdom of Airitor. |
| 1230 | Maelstrom Castle is finished and the settlements of Porland and Homested are booming. |
| 1234 | A wizard of some reknown, named Dracard, is granted land north of the Maelstrom Barony. Dracard names his land The Provence of Billington, and starts a small settlement there. |
| 1245 | Baron Elric Maelstrom and his knight retainers die defending the town of Homested against the red dragon dubbed "Cruel Trick". Elric's oldest son inherits his land and title. |
