Salvete & 93,

My name is Michele and among many things I do in life, I am primarily a digital artist. I also freelance as a graphic artist and web-designer. I was originally trained in traditional art mediums (i.e. oils, charcoal, etc.), but after years of being inactive in the medium that I love, I finally traded my traditional materials for digital ones. Instead of paintbrush and canvas I now use graphics tablet with pen, pixels and polygons. Beginning with my first

experiences with the Internet in the early 90's and my first website in 1998 has allowed me to be free from my own residential constraints (I didn't have a place to paint or leave paint supplies). This lack of restrictions has enabled me to dedicate myself to my own creative expression.

This site has become my own small experiment in community space. My current mission is to focus my efforts on exploring and expressing the unutterable elements of the human experience and all that it inspires through the use of multi media.

I do have quite a few other interests that occupy my time and they are as follows. Etymology is a burgeoning hobby of mine. Right now I am focusing on Latin using Wheelock’s Latin 6th Edition. I have been able to pick up a little Japanese but just a little bit. I’m am an Armchair archeologist, into films (foreign films in particular) and filmmaking, watching Manga and Anime, being a midwifery and homebirth advocate, Homeschooler, a humble student of all things dealing with the mind, body, soul, and will. I’m an avid reader and my interests generally cover more topics than I care to type. So I will try with the utmost grace to end my short biography.
