Through out history there have been so many wars and atrocities committed over one thing: Religion.
Granted there is absolutely nothing wrong with having faith in something, hey we all need to have faith in something. But the downside of religion, and most things, are the extremists who take their Bible or Quaarn or whatever to heart. They believe that their way is the one and only way and whoever doesn't agree must die or at least "pay" for their "ignorance". And that's where problems begins. With stupid people like that. The closed minded and arrogant ones. If only we could eliminate stupidity from the gene pool.
Of course, there are those who find religion very comforting. Which is understandable, knowing that you are loved unconditionally is always a good feeling. Hence why so many people find religion in times of need. Which proves my other point: religion is just a crutch for the weak. A drug even. And this is fine, but in moderation. One cannot let themselves become a "Bible Junkie". Because this not only does it affect your life a great deal (it can be a positive or negative change), it also affects those around you some what. Much like becoming a slave to let's say heroin.
