Change Oil at 600 miles, 4,000 miles and every 4,000 miles thereafter.
Clean Engine oil Strainer every 4,000 miles
I change the oil every 2,000 miles I did that with my Helix (s) and never had an oil related problem. ( Hey we're only talking about 1.2 qts of oil. )
Buy an extra screen and "O" ring today and keep it handy that way when you need it you'll have it. It doesn't cost that much.
