Iron Konquerer is a custom I built for a contest at Phenotype's site. I didn't win, but had fun putting this guy together. He is the most detailed custom I've done to date and is the first member of the Four Horsemen and I'm already planning to start on the second.
It started as a Hasbro Iron Kong with CPs added during the process. I custom mixed the semi-metallic paint colors. The CP-11 had to be trimmed to fit the Hasbro Kong backpack. I took a set of CP-10 cannons and permanently mounted them on the CP-11 in place of the vernier thrusters. The standard missiles were removed and the rocket box from a CP-15 was cemented in their place. The gatling cannon from the CP-15 was mounted on the wrist cannon and the CP-03 was modified and cemented to the left shoulder armor.
I added stickers from several kits and the Jolly Roger on the right shoulder is from a Toynami Robotech Masterpiece Collection Veritech.
The Iron Konquerer is part of an elite and feared unit of mercenaries that formed shortly after the defeat of the second Death Saurer by Van and his cohorts. They call themselves the Four Horsemen, based on the mythical bringers of the Apocalypse. The first horseman, Conquest, is represented by the Iron Konquerer. An engineer, fed up with the political situation after the defeat of Prozen and Hiltz, left his military service and joined the Horsemen, becoming their armorer. Using the stolen weapons and Zoids the Horsemen took when they themselves defected, the engineer created these new and unique Zoids for each of them.
