Sophia Weinfuehrer - Our webmistress, Sophia, (c.1530's) is the daughter of a German Innkeeper

and his French wife, who originally hails from just north of Strassbourg.  She is the widow of  a

German (Holy RomanEmpire) Knight, who due to some mis-managment of her new found freedom,

found herself  in Venice where she lives (and thrives!) under the name of Fiamma, courtesy of her

many charms.

Alison, formerly known as Caitlin Reed - a young Englishwoman from the mid 1400's, who has been

rather reluctant so far to share her history with us.  What we do know, however, is that she is a very gifted

artist and seems destined to become a very talented needleworker and jewelry maker as well.

Ivar Thorvaldsson -  as you can probably guess from the name, is a young man of Scandinavian descent,

whose father was Swedish and whose mother's family had ties to the Rus in Novgorod.  He is well traveled

for his age, having been, in his youth, a page to a Danish lord, and later, having spent time with his relatives

in Novgorod as well as considerable time  in England.  His alter ego is that of
Jean-Michel Feret , a young

Frenchman from  the 1530's, residing in the French protected city-state of Genoa..
