SIMLY BEAUTIFUL
AUTHOR’S NOTE: This is
another Kyle/Maria lust one. You have been warned.
Maria wandered around her new house, aimlessly. She had gotten back
from
work an hour ago and had been catching up on some of the reading she had to
do before returning to West Roswell High School, but she soon became bored
and was now pacing the halls. She didn't see why teachers had to go
and
ruin her summer vacation by giving her homework. They really didn't
seem to
grasp the concept of what "vacation" meant. She also
couldn't see how
Michael liked Ulysses. If it was anything like Portrait of the Artist
as a
Young Man, his taste really sucked. But she knew that already.
He was
seeing somebody else. Somebody who didn't know their secret.
Somebody that
was "uncomplicated" as he called Heather. She put the
thoughts of Michael
out of her head as she heard yelling coming from Kyle's room. She had
to
admit that she hadn't been thrilled with the idea of moving in with the
Valenti's and Tess, but she got a new house, complete with a pool,
out of
the deal, so she had swiftly stopped her complaining.
She put her ear to the door. "Yes! Yes! Yes!" she heard
Kyle yelling in
ecstasy and faintly heard the clicking of a mouse. She started to
retreat
from the door, figuring he would NOT want her catching him doing that, when
the door flew open. Kyle had a very strange grin on his face.
"Maria," he exclaimed, "I'm a daddy!"
He then grabbed her hand and pulled her into his room.
"Really," she said, "I thought that you were having safe
cybersex. God knows
what you can get from a keyboard."
"Shut up, and have a seat," he said, gesturing to the comfy chair
that he
had bought, along with his new, top of the line computer.
His screensaver had come on while they spoke. She was surprised to
see that
it was a picture of the two of them. She recognized it from the
"family"
trip the DeLucas, Valentis and Tess had taken at the beginning of the
summer. It was a candid of the two of them, with Kyle laughing at
something
Maria had just said. She tried to figure out when that was.
Kyle, reading her mind, said, "It was right after you said that if we
threw
Tess in the Grand Canyon there would be very little physical evidence and
we
may get away with it. Dad just got his roll of film developed."
She smiled as she remembered that day. It was, she remembered, the
last day
she had any semblance of sanity. After that, the car they were all
traveling seemed to be way too small for her comfort. Tess got
increasingly
more annoying and Kyle had become increasingly more....her thoughts trailed
off as she watched him bend over slightly, shaking the mouse to get the
screensaver to turn off.
When she had told Liz and Alex, reluctantly, that she had a
"thang", as Alex
called it, for Kyle, they had both burst out laughing for at least a
minute.
Alex tried to rationalize it by saying that she was just looking for
something to get her over Michael, and it would pass. That had been
two
months ago, she was over Michael, and the feelings had most definitely NOT
passed. She was now having dreams about Kyle. It wasn't enough
that she
was so aware of him during the day, she now couldn't even escape in her
sleep. Life was just not fair.
She said down in the chair and stared at the screen. "What is
this, a
game?" she asked.
"Yeah," came Kyle's reply as he lowered himself down in the chair
directly
behind her. She sat straight up immediately, and began to scoot
towards the
front of the chair, almost falling off. Kyle quickly steadied
her.
"There's room for two, just lean back."
She did as was told and made a mental note that all of the working out that
Kyle was doing was paying off. Through the thin material of his gray
t-shirt, she could feel his muscles. She jumped again slightly as
Kyle's
arm brushed her as he reached for the mouse.
'Bad move Valenti,' Kyle thought to himself as he starting clicking on the
computer screen. He could usually control his impulses where Maria
was
concerned, he had to become adept at that over the last few months, but,
day
by day, he could feel his resolve breaking. Now, the object of his
obsession, was leaning against him. And that was not the worst part,
the
worst part was, she had just gotten home from work awhile ago. That
meant
that she had showered. And THAT meant that she smelled amazing.
'Had to
tell her to come in, didn't you?' his inner self asked.
"So," Maria said, turning slightly to attempt to look him in the
face, "what
is this? And you mentioned something about Kyle Jr."
"It's The Sims," he said, as if it were the most obvious thing in
the world,
as he gestured to the screen.
"I could not have less of a clue as to what that is supposed to mean
to me,"
she said.
"Ok, it's a game where you make up fake people, make a fake house for
them,
give them fake jobs and fake lives," he explained. "And my
fake self just
had a kid. See, there we are."
Maria looked at the screen and saw a computer person who looked remarkably
like Kyle standing over a crib. "Wow. That's creepy, he
looks exactly like
you."
"Yeah, it gets even better," he said as he made his simself go
over to
another simhouse. "I made all of us. See, there's Liz and
Alex. They're
married and have four children. Alex isn't a very attentive father,
however, and child services took one of their kids."
"This is one sick game," Maria said. "So, you control
them and tell them
what to do?"
"Exactly," he said, as he made SimLiz take out the garbage.
"Did you make Tess, too?" Maria asked. She silently prayed
that Tess was
not the Sim that had begat Kyle's child.
"Yup, but just so the rest of us could slap her around," he said,
while
clicking in on the house where SimTess lived with SimMaria.
"Are you crazy," Maria said when she saw this, "you make ME
live with Tess?
I have to fix this somehow." She then grabbed the mouse, and
inadvertently,
Kyle's hand.
He couldn't help but notice how soft her skin was, and SHE couldn't help
but
notice the intake of breathe she heard from Kyle. Maybe she wasn't
the only
one with unsibling like thoughts. She smiled a little at this.
'Control yourself,' Kyle thought. 'You don't want to end up on
Springer, do
you?'
"So," he said, and was relieved to hear that his voice sounded
semi-normal,
"when two characters interact, you are given a few choices, based on
if the
characters get along or not. You and Tess do not, so you have the
option to
slap her. So, I make you two have chick fights all the time, it
rocks."
She rolled her eyes at this. She then went outside of the house and
saw the
Simpool. It had a gravestone in the middle of it. "Who
died?" she asked.
"Michael," he answered, quietly. "He had a little
accident about two months
ago. Sims are extremely dumb, no human being alive is as dumb as a
Sim,
except perhaps, Tess. You see, if you take out the ladder while a Sim
is
swimming, they have no way to get out of the pool, and they drown. It
was a
VERY unfortunate accident. He suffered greatly."
Maria was quite for a second and then turned around to face Kyle. He
inspected her face, trying to judge her reaction. However, he seemed
fixated on her lips. "Thanks," she said huskily. He
started to lean in
towards her.......
BANG!!! went the door as Tess dramatically entered the room. Maria
and Kyle
jumped and Maria was headed for the floor yet again. Kyle wasn't
quick
enough this time, however. Kyle stood up and helped Maria to her
feet.
"So," Tess said, ignoring the fact that she had caused Maria to
end up on
the carpet, "I just had THE worst day." She set her
numerous bags on the
floor. It looked as if she had bought the whole mall. "I
was in this
really great store. I saw this cute top, you know, red, low cut, with
a
little of a midriff thing going on. And this girl, this skank, who
was
wearing barely anything at all, got to it first, and bought it. Can
you
believe that?"
"That some skank took something that you were planning on
wearing. No, get
out," Maria said, while shaking her head.
"I know," Tess said, her eyes getting all wide and vacant,
"and I have a
date tonight with some guy named Bob, no Rob, no Reed or something like
that. Now I'm all upset and my face is getting all scruncy. I
have no tan
and now nothing to wear. My life is over."
"Don't I wish," Kyle said wistfully as he watched the SimMaria
and Sim Tess
fight that was occurring on the screen.
"I'm going to go and use my powers to make myself ravishing," she
you later,
she said over her shoulder as she left.
Maria looked down at her feet. "I'm going for a swim," she
said abruptly.
A half hour later, Maria felt much better. Swimming always helped her
to
clear her mind of her unwanted thoughts. Until the next time she saw
him,
that is. She was lying out in the sun, when a shadow fell across her.
"Hey," she said, while shielding her eyes as she looked up at
Kyle. She
must have drifted off for a bit, because he was toweling off his hair and
upper body after a swim. And what an upper body it was, she watched
him
closely as he spread his towel next to her and lay down on it.
"Are you stalking me?" she asked in jest.
"Nope, just making sure that I'm safely out of the way if her powers
go
awry, as usual," he said as Maria laid back down and closed her eyes.
She laughed as she remembered the time that Tess had tried to make herself
taller and had only succeed at making her feet bigger.
Now that Maria's eyes were closed, it was Kyle's turn to stare
appreciatively at his forbidden fruit. He had noticed the look that
Maria
gave him as he dried himself off and had decided to swallow his terror and
take the plunge. As he opened his mouth to feed Maria a line, Tess
came out
of the house.
She was wearing a bikini, if you could call it that. It left almost
nothing
to the imagination. He quickly put on his sunglasses.
"So," she said, "how do I look, is it a vast
improvement?"
Maria, under her breath muttered, "Being that I have my eyes closed,
yes."
Kyle looked up at Tess and the only discernable difference in the way that
she looked now was that now her hair was blonder. Almost white.
She then
jumped into the pool, doing a cannonball and wrecking the calm atmosphere.
"I swear that that girl is dumber than a Sim," Kyle said.
Maria smiled slowly, "Let's test your theory, shall we?"
She walked up to where the ladder was in the pool, and removed it.
Tess
continued swimming and did not seem to notice that a) the ladder had been
removed and b) her hair was falling out.
Exhausted from the exercise, and using all of her powers, she used the last
of her strength to swim to where the ladder used to be. It was
missing, and
she could not figure out another way to get out of the inground pool.
She
swam in a circle and then sunk.
"Looks like your theory was right," Maria said as Tess began
floating.
"Have any others?"
"Yes," he said, while taking off his sunglasses and looking at
Maria.
"Actually, it's not my theory. But they, whoever they are, say
that sex and
violence are linked together. What do you think?"
At the look that Kyle was giving her, Maria's heart sped up.
"I'd say that
they were right."
Kyle stoop up and extended his hand down to Maria. She quickly took
it and
pulled herself up, right into Kyle.
She then pulled him towards the secluded pool house.
The end.
