A TIME TO CELEBRATE

“Help me think!  We need to find a way of avoiding her, without her
noticing,” Isabel whispered to Michael as they hid in the brush outside the
Valenti residence.

“Why?  I mean, we don’t like her, she’s annoying, and she thinks she’s
gorgeous,” Michael shivered.  The thought of Tess being good looking just
gave him bad vibes.

“It’s manners, Michael,” Isabel scolded.  “Okay, we need to rescue Kyle and
the Sheriff.  I mean with her in there, they could die.  I still can’t
believe they’ve survived this long with her!”

“Ok, well, I’m coming out of hiding.  I’m telling her the truth,” Michael
stood up and walked towards the curly—haired blonde.

“Michael!” she turned and gave him her ‘I have gas’ expression.  Michael
thought he was going to hurl.

“Tess.  Look—we think you’ve outstayed your welcome with the Valentis—“
Michael started.

“I know,” she nodded stupidly, “that’s why I’m moving in with Max and
Isabel!”

Isabel swallowed hard.  She came out of her hiding spot, “You stupid b****!
Don’t you realize we don’t like you!  In fact, we hate you!  PASSIONATELY!”
Isabel held out her hand, electrocuting Tess from the inside out.

Tess fought back with her mind, she reached Isabel’s inner-most thoughts,
and attempted to release herself from her grip.  Suddenly Tess felt herself
surrounded by the rest of the gang.

“You can’t mindwarp us all, Tess,” Max glared at her.

Tess released Isabel and started to run, but didn’t get very far before she
fell and cracked open her head.  She aimed to heal her injury, but lacking
the control needed, she mind-warped herself instead.  In her daze, she stood
up and yelled back at the group, in a slurred voice, “You’ll pay for this!”
She walked across the road backwards, yelling at the group about how much
they would regret ‘messing with her’.  Suddenly she was hit by a semi on the
highway.

“Good riddence,” Isabel uttered as Alex helped her up.

“What about the End of the World?” Liz looked at Max with questioning eyes.
“Without Tess won’t the world end?”

“Let’s just say, that without Tess the world is a better place.  Whether it
ends or not, the semi driver did the universe a favor,” Max was very blunt.

The semi drove up to the group, and Kyle hopped out of the driver’s seat,
“She was beginning to irritate me.”

The group nodded in agreement as they walked to the Crashdown to celebrate.
