WHODUNIT?
I hate her. That is what it comes down to. I hate her and I will never trust her. I am also the only one that KNOWS she is evil. The other suspect it, at least Liz and Maria still don't trust her, but I know it deep within myself. And I also know that she must die. She has to be taken out of the picture. But, it is not that simple. How will I be able to pull it off without the rest of the group figuring out it was me? It's way too dangerous for me to end her life right in front of them. But, it has to be done. I will do anything to protect all of them. She is still plotting to get Max. She has been since the beginning. It doesn't matter what comes out of her mouth, I can feel it when her heart beats faster, when I know that she is lying. Max loves Liz, I know that that is true as well, their hearts have beaten faster for a completely different reason. I will not let HER stand between them. Tonight, it will be tonight. And, if I am caught, I will suffer the consequences. ********************************************************************** Maria ran along side Liz as they sped into the Evans' house. They had gotten a frantic call from Isabel and had raced over, breaking many of the posted speeding limits in Roswell. As they entered the living room, they noticed that they were the last to arrive. Isabel and Alex were seated on the couch. It was obvious that Isabel had been crying and Alex had his arm around her for comfort. Maria looked to Michael or Max to tell them what they had been summoned here for. Max was leaning against the wall, opposite from where Maria and Liz were standing. "Tess is dead," Max said without much fanfare. "She was found earlier this morning. She suffered some sort of blunt trauma. Valenti's on it right now." Maria opened her mouth, not quite sure of what was going to come out. But, before she could speak, her cell phone rang. "Sorry," she muttered as she left the house to answer her call. ********************************************************************* Maria comes out of the house and I can tell that Max has broken the news to her. She has not cried like Isabel, she is arguing with her mother. As she draws closer to me I notice that I have not been as caareful as I first suspected. I still have some blood on me, I tried to clean myself up but it was difficult ********************************************************************* "Mom, Mom, calm down. Yes, yes I heard. I'm at the Evans' right now. Um, OK I guess, everyone is just in a bit of shock right now. No, I hadn't heard that she was found in the middle of the road. Hit with a great force? Someone must have really not liked her, yes, yes I will Mom. I love you, too," Maria said as she hung up the phone. She leaned against Max and Isabel's Jeep and exhaled mightily. Doing her breathing exercizes always helped to calm her down. As she shifted things around in the huge bag that passed as her purse, the book she had been reading, Stephen King's Christine, fell out and hit the driveway. It also send her bookmark out of the book as well. Maria was part of the Bring you Own Book program. It was like a book discussion club except everyone read a different book then they discussed all of the books everyone was reading. It was call Bob for short. The "y" was silent. As she picked up her book, she placed her hand on the bumper of the Jeep. It was wet. She pulled her hand away. Blood. She inspeced the Jeep a little further. She saw a dent that could have easily been there before. But the blood. The words "blunt trauma" circled in her head. Max or Isabel? It just wasn't possible. She retrieved her book. She looked from the book to the car. ********************************************************************* She knows!!!!! What am I going to do. She thinks Max or Isabel did it!! She has to. I can't let this happen. I have to protect them. What the hell should I do? ********************************************************************* Maria slowly backed away from the car, putting her book back in her bag. She turned back towards the car and smiled. "Nice going, Bob. It'll be our little secret." As Maria reached the door to the Evans', she heard the Jeep beep at her. ********************************************************************** I knew that one was smart. The end
