The Capture and Conversion of Yavanna

Yavanna

The three men make their way through the gloom of the early morning woods. Just short of the edge, they stop and dismount from their horses and make their way stealthily to where they can see the large marble manor. Wordlessly they stop and watch it, waiting for the right time.

Not long after sunrise, Yavanna leaves the marble and heads towards the seas edge. Looking around she sees no one and quickly drops her armour and weapons and heads into the surf for a swim. Enjoying her morning swim in the ocean, she does not she the three men slip out of the woods and approach her equipment and scoop it up and place it in a bag. They then hide behind some rocks and wait for her.

Yavanna returns to the spot where she left her armour and sees it gone. Her defensive instinct take over and she crouches down and looks for whoever stole her equipment. She then hears the words "an ex por" to her left. As she tries to turn, she feels her body stop responding to her. The three men come into her view and she now knows she is not about to die.

The older man speaks first, "Yavanna, it is time you were brought back into the family. Sindar tie her up, we don't want her getting away. Elros go get our horses and bring them back here." He turns back to Yavanna, "We will see about getting that sash off you. You will be Darkfire's Slayer no more. I know that they can be removed, as the one you helped Darkfire place on me is gone."

With her securely tied up, they loaded her up onto Elros' horse and Valinor opens a gate. They ride through the blue shimmer gate and come out in front of the Emapth Abbey. Yavanna seeing their destination sneers, "You think these pathetic monks can help you? They are just weak spineless jellyfish. I will have them all dead within a day."

Elros clamps his hand down over her mouth, "Sister dear, you don't think we are going to leave them here alone with you do you? Your uncle Valinor knows quite well how deep your evil intentions run, and what you are capable of. After all, it was you who betrayed him to The Crimson Triad and Darkfire. It was you who slipped a poisoned dagger between his ribs. And it was you who laughed as Darkfire slipped the sash over your uncle's head. Now keep your mouth shut or I will be forced to gag you."

They ride up to the massive doors and Valinor pulls the long rope and a bell can be heard inside the Abbey. Eventually a monk comes and opens the door. Seeing who it is he ushers them right in and they hand their horses over to a stable boy. Elros carries the trussed up Yavanna over his shoulder, much to her protests. They make their way to a room deep in the heart of the monastery. The monk opens a door and ushers them in and speaks for the first time "Brother Montague will be with you shortly." Looking at Yavanna, "Welcome home child."

Yavanna sneers at the monk "Montague is still alive, I should have killed him when I had the chance, instead of just leaving him a cripple."

"Be that as it may, he is still going to be the one to bring you into the light. He has been studying long and hard at how to remove that sash you wear. Now I must go fetch him." With that, the monk leaves the room.

A few minutes later, brother Montague is wheeled into the room in a chair with small wheels on it. "Valinor, it is good to see you. I hope you have not suffered any poor effects from our last visit?"

"Nah brother Montague, no troubles, no side effects" smiles Valinor."

"That is good. We shall be doing the same thing to Yavanna we had to do to you to remove the sash. It won't be pleasant, but it has to be done that way. Elros, Sindar, could you leave us now, Valinor will come get you when we are done."

Yavanna turns to Elros, fear in her eyes "Brother, don't leave me, don't let them do this to me. I know what they must carry out, I don't want to die!"

Elros turns to the door, his back to Yavanna, "They do what they must do. It is for your own good. It has been a long time coming sister. I will see you when they are done. May the Virtues protect you."

Yavanna screams at the closing door, "I hate you Elros, I hate you!"

Elros leaves the room never turning towards his sister, not allowing her to see the tears in his eyes. He closes the door behind him and Sindar puts his arm around his shoulder, "She does not mean that cousin, you will see that when they are done." Elros nods to his cousin.

From behind the door they hear muffled talking and they settle down into the two chairs provided them in the hallway. It is going be a long wait; he can feel it in his bones. She will fight it; fight it harder than Valinor did. She may even die, maybe die more than once. But the end justifies what they must do, Elros knows this, he just wishes he could be there to hold her, take away the pain she will be in.

After a few minutes of silence they hear the casting of spells, spells Elros was not prepared to hear. He mouths the words mind blast to Sindar, a look of confusing on his face. Sindar only nods, letting Elros know that he is correct. Elros now truly knows the pain she is going through, as he has been the recipient of that spell during his time in the faction wars of Felucca. He starts to get up, looking at the door, but Sindar puts a calming hand on his shoulder and eases him back down into the chair.

An hour later, and after much spell casting, Valinor opens the door and ushers them in. Elros sees his sister sitting in a chair, looking very worn out, but with out the sash. Elros goes to her and puts his arms around her, "Welcome back Yavanna."
