The Story of Sosaria

Her mind wanders back, to a time long ago...

Times were harsh, the monsters rampant, and the thieves! Why, even Lord British could not control the vermin! She remembers her Great Grandmother, Kaila Elvenhelm, born in the fair city of Trinsic. She would tell tales of her adventures to the woodlands, camping under the stars, and hunting any beast that ventured in her path. She found a love for the Sea, and moved to Skara Brae, a lovely island to the West, where she bore 2 daughters, Sosaria and Luthien Tinuviel.

Sosaria became facinated in the arts of Magic, while blonde Luthien was born with the Sea in her heart. A tear fell from her eye, thinking of her mother, Sosaria. She was taken captive, along with her sister Luthien, never to be seen again. Her cousin Tinuviel, daughter of Luthien, and herself had been visiting their father Altazar in his Villa when their mothers had been taken. This loss formed a strong bond between them, and they became as sisters, rather than cousins.

(click here to view the complete image)It was at this time she met her older sister, the dark haired Shaharazad. She had chosen to live with her father and learn the ways of magic, as her mother had done. Smiling to herself, thinking of always being the loner and black sheep. She had chosen the Sword, and did not care much for the Sea, and only enough magic to get by! The adventure of deciphering maps, and finding the hidden Treasures, ahhhh, now THAT is what she loved so. ...and the Dungeons! (A small chuckle as she thought of Shaharazad, whom feared traveling in such places alone) ...and Tinuviel. Why just last week she pulled up a red serpent! And having no fighting skills had to flee for her life! But, she is training hard now, and it won't be long she will hold her own.

Sosaria breathes a sigh of contentment, looking around at her new small but comfortable Tower by the seaside. Life is good now, but there is still something missing. She stands and paces restlessly a few times. What is it? What is this calling I hear and cannot see? She had been bored lately. Even the monsters she fought were boring and predictable and she dared not venture too deep in the Dungeons alone as even her skills could not battle what lay there. Shrugging, she decided to go upstairs and work on her maps, she still could not figure out the two she found on the fire elementals corpses, and this bothered her, as she knew the treasure must be good.

As chance would have it, (is there such a thing?) it was while she was struggling with a new map that the neighbors arrived home. Out her window she could see all sorts of commotion, magery, swords clanging and such. My goodness, she thought, what kind of people are these? She watched for awhile, and saw that actually no one was being hurt, not badly anyway. She decided to go introduce herself, being new in the area, and besides, she wanted a closer look. It did not take long to realize these people were honorable and good hearted, and sought to help and heal all whom they came in contact with, a tradition Sosaria's family had held dear for many generations. Perhaps this was the calling, and the end to her travels alone. Her new friend Dante introduced her to the Queen. Queen Sheba was like to her mother, kind and generous, with a clear mind and good heart. She knew she had found good friends, and that new adventures awaited.

Yes, life is good!
