Katrina, Grand Duchess
At the request of her dying father, Princess Katrina fled on a magic ship to the forgotten realm known as Neverwinter in search of the Kings trusted friend, Hcamllets. No longer the strong war wizard her father adventured with in his youth, Hcamllets was unable to protect her. Frantic to find aid before she bled to death from the attack of a pack of wolves, the old man staggered to the nearest town. Stumbling, Hcamllets nearly fell at the feet of a strong young warrior mage who healed him and cast a spell on the old mans boots. Running faster than he ever had in his youth, Hcamllets led this young warrior to the unconscious princess.
For days Xarst and Katrina adventured together in the forgotten realms and neither seemed to notice when her fathers old friend took his leave. Katrina watched as Xarst slayed dragons to protect her, they talked, they danced, they sang, they laughed. Her misguided fireballs scorched the guild emblem on his clothing and he laughed encouraging her not to fret because mastering this magic she would learn in time.
Married just days before the fall of Port Llast the couple traveled to new lands together in search of a place to make their home. Leaving Katrina behind in West Lienster, Xarst continued to travel in search of the perfect place and when he believed he has found it he sent for her. The couple reunited on the island of Serpents Hold and together they worked to build a home and purchased a small tailoring shop.
Days after they settled in a new home they were finally able to build near Minoc, Xarst disappeared. Never losing hope that Xarst would return to her, Katrina turned down her brothers offer to return to her homeland that had now been restored. Despite her joy to see her brother was indeed alive, Katrina assured King Eric that her place was no longer in an ivory tower as a princess but by her husbands side and he would return.
And he did.
Together they stayed in the land of Brittania even though so many of their friends were leaving. Banning with others determined to make a difference they joined a newly formed guild of an old friend and humbly accepted the new royal titles appointed them.
