This album is not unlike a lot of the other So. Cal hardcore coming out in the same time period. Keith Morris started this band after leaving Black Flag, and a lot of the music sounds the same, maybe not as snarling as Black Flag was though. "Wasted" was actually an early Flag song that you can hear on their compilations of pre-Rollins material. There are some classics on here that have ended up covered by today's bands, like "Deny Everything" and "Don't Care / Live Fast, Die Young". All in all, if you like your music fast, loud, and angry, you can't go wrong with the Circle Jerks. 14 songs in just over 15 minutes. Oh, and guitarist Greg Hetson is of course now one of the trio of Bad Religion guitarists. But you already knew that, I'm sure. One lame thing I just thought of...the cover of this cd says "two punk classics for the price of one" and is supposed to include the albums "Group Sex" and "Wild in the Streets". But it only has "Group Sex". It even has the lyrics for both albums. This bothers me.
