what is love ?

It is exactly 1200 am in the computer clock as i write this.the much yhped day has begun,the valentine's day in the year 2003
i dont know what it is meant for and if I just take it to be the way others do,according to them,
it is a day for expressing love.

LOVE- this is the word misunderstood my many ,but in fact,love doesnt need a day to be expressed.
in fact it does not need to be expressed .if you love someone,what matters is not how you
wxpress it to her,but the real thing is how honest you are towards your love.what makes you
love him/her, is it just because he/she is beautiful ,smart,& handsome? or that you like him/her
beacuse of her being herself.if you really love someone,believe me ,you dont really need to express it
with a lot of hype.a simple scentence "i love you" could turn out to be great, provided the love has
not been ''done'' and that it "happened".even if the response is negative,the love is true only
if you still have the same feelings about her/him,because love is not all about taking,
but about giving,about being committed to the well being of your love,irrespective of his/her
response.

Iam writing all this because i felt all this and i feel that if my concept of love is correct,
i really love a girl greatly.although it has been almost 3 & a 1/2 years since ilast saw her,
the intensity of my love has not gone down even a bit.i never even thought of another girl
but her, because i concider it to be dishonesty on my part.she still doesnt know that i love
her,maybe she will never know it,but that doesnt mean that i should forget her and go for some
other girl,just because if i love her,it means i like everything about her.and that has nothing to
do with her knowing about it, or maybe loving me.even if she doesnt love me,or even remember me,
i will always love her ,for according to me,love is all about commitment to her well being & happiness.
i know i am true and i can die for her happiness.right now i dont even have a photograph of her,
but i will at least procure it some day,so that i can get to see her whenever i want to, as that gives me
a lot of motivation for excelling in life,as that is how i can get to her,and more importantly,
keep her happy.that is all about my love,Shweta.

So guys & girls, if you love someone,dont go for the most expensive greeting card,or the
best treat,instead go for commitment towards your love.
