The abduction occured shortly after his graduation. He and several of his classmates were taken to the ship, and taken under control of the aliens. After an investigation by Agents Mulder and Scully, it was found that the aliens had been telling Billy to take the others out into the woods for alien experimentaiton.

For a while, that was all there was to his part of The X-files. Seven years after the investigation by the agents, however, Billy called them back and told them that the aliens were back. Of course, the agents decided to investigate. They found that Billy was a police officer(eh heh, Officer Billy), and that the aliens were indeed calling thier abductees back. It turns out that the aliens had come to bring take the former abductees, as well as Mulder, with them.

Billy disappeared for a while. He was found in the ocean, and seemed to be dead... But wasn't. He was breathing, and showed other signs of life. After being kept in the hospital for awhile, he shed the dead skin and became an alien hybrid. Nice twist, right?

After becoming a hybrid, Billy was sent to chase after Scully and her unborn child, to watch and make sure there was no threat to the alien race. In the end there wasn't, but before this was discovered he managed to make a nice amount of trouble. Yeah trouble!
