Cause and Team

Who I am does not matter. What I look like doesn't matter, either. Whether I am male or female, you need not know. Whether I like black or white better is none of your business. Whether I prefer magazines to paperbacks or paperbacks to magazines is not in the area of necessary information.

My thoughts are equal to everything else. They mean little; they mean nothing, in fact. What I believe is of no concern to anyone. My thoughts are best when left inside of myself. They are for me to know, and they are for me to ignore.

What matters is that I am part of the Team. I am only one in a crowd. Alone, I mean nothing. With the Team, I am a working part. With the Team, I can accomplish, can achieve.

And I like to achieve. I like when I can do something that matters. When I can do something that people will remember for longer than a glimpse. I can make a lasting impression, even if it is not singularly mine.

Alone, a person cannot do anything that will be remembered. Anything done will be forgotten soon enough. So I have been taught, so I have been trained, so I have and will always believe.

There is more, though. As a Team, I am part of something. I am in with others like myself. Before this, I felt left out, as if I knew nothing. Everything seemed to be behind locked doors, and I didn't possess the key to open them. Because of this, I was left strangely empty.

Everyone seemed to understand, everyone seemed to know. They all could look upon me in contempt. I was a lower being, not worthy to even look into their eyes. Whatever they wanted of me, I needed to give. And for doing it, I got nothing.

Now I can do what I am told and be rewarded. Just the feeling of being part, of knowing. Because now I do know. I know all that I never did before. And people are wrong. They say knowing is bad for those who have to work as a group for it. It is wonderful to know.

Those same people, the ones who believe they understand everything, they don't know. They never have understood what I feel, what those like me feel. They can get what they want on their own, because life is like that. They've never felt rejected like us. If they had, why would they sneer at us so?

And how can they say that? Knowing as a Team is wonderful. Knowing allows us to carry out orders. It allows us to think before we attack, to look before we leap, if you wish it to be that way.

If they were a little less shortsighted, they too would understand the wonders of knowing. They don't see, though, and it leaves us with an advantage. Even alone, that lets us know what they don't. It helps us to reach places before they do, to be one step ahead of them.

Which is why so many of them have gone down. Because they did not join the Team. Anyone not on the Team is against it, and they must be eliminated. Those who are not on the Team are a threat to it, and any threat to the Team is to be dealt with.

The Team is to be protected. We need to stand for each other, but, more importantly, we need to stand for the Cause. The Cause of the Team.

The Cause is what we all live for. The Cause is what we fight daily for. It is what it is. It holds different meaning for all, but for all it comes to the same. The Cause is something to strive towards, to protect. It is our fuel, our bonding.

Without the Cause, the Team would be nothing. Without the Cause, we would be nothing. We are because of the Cause; we survive because of it, so that we may live to fight for it another day.

The Cause means that we will have a world where everyone can know. No one will be left in the dark, as I was. No one will have to suffer through feeling that they are alone, that they have no one and no where to turn to. We will all have access to the knowledge, to everything that one could want to know.

The Cause means that we will all be one Team. Everyone in the world will be a part, everyone will know what it means to be one. We will all be joined in an eternal bond of the Team, an unbreakable joining. No one will be out, everyone will be in. Together we will accomplish, we will win. All will know and realize the joys of being a part, of making something happen, of causing the world to know.

The Cause means that we can work. It allows us to work for it, to strive for our goals. There is nothing in it that will hold us back. Instead, it pushes us forward. Because of it, we can attain anything if we try.

The Cause means that no one more will be killed. Before we reach the final Cause, there will be bloodshed. We have all seen it, but we can live through it. If a few die, if many die, it will not matter. In the end, it will work out for the better. Balance will be established, all will be well. And no one more will die.

Until then, I give my life for it. I will put myself entirely into my work. I will not question. If I question, they may kill me. It is not my right to speak, it is not in my area.

Because I am just one in the crowd, one in a thousand. I mean nothing, I am nothing. Therefore, I do not matter alone, only as a Team.

What I live for is the Team and Cause, what I die for is the Team and Cause. I do not question, I only march on forward. And until the end, I will follow.
