Starstruck Sphere:

This image is based on the same polygonal tiling pattern that I first used in "irregular polygons".  The main difference now is that I am using it to tile over the surface of a sphere instead of an infinite plane.  When I first attempted to write the algorithm for creating this pattern, I made some mistakes in the equations that caused some intriguing unexpected results in the form of cracks in between the cells.  This time around, I have intentionally placed the 'imperfections' in the lattice by removing cells with exactly five neighbors, allowing the star cells and other interstitial shapes.
