Bonzala (c) Axon Software 2000
Win32 / DirectX

Startup
=======

Unzip the archive and place the bonzala folder wherever you want.
You will need to create a shortcut to the bonzala.exe yourself as
there is no convenient install utility yet.

If you are having problems getting it to work, there is a technical
support page on our website at http://www.axon.eurobell.co.uk

Instructions
============

Note : Pressing F1 in the game should reveal the about dialogue box
that contains instructions on how to play the game.

Once the game has loaded up, the cursor keys on the keyboard control the
menu system in the lower part of the screen. Locate the GAME->EASY option
and press ENTER to start playing.

The idea is to get all the heart shaped things to complete the game. You
will need to use the swing bridges which are operated by letting your
flyer coast over the top of the spinning discs whereupon it will stop and
your sideways direction controls will then opreate the bridge. To leave
the control pad, just press the forward button and your flyer will then
be on it's way again.

Pressing ESCAPE at any time during a game brings up the menu again enabling
you to alter visual aspects, choose other levels or even restart the game
you are playing.

A new pseudo random level is generated each time you preview the level from
the LEVEL menu, at which point, ENTER will set it to be used next time you
start a game.

It's too slow
=============

As with most games, there is a visual quality / refresh rate trade off.
If you want to speed the game up, for instance on systems where the
frame rate gets below about 8fps, there are various things you can do :

 Ctrl-B will toggle rendering of the background,
 Ctrl-F toggles the Fog,
 DEPTH from the barrel menu reduces the amount of far-away stuff drawn,
 MESH changes the number of polys used to represent the gameworld

The default settings are for a Pentium II 350 with i740 3D accelerator,
so if you have a slower system, be prepared to have to alter settings to
make it playable.
