~~~~~~~~~~~~~Convention 2004~~~~~~~~~~~
                                                                                                             July 20, 2004
Our friend, Shelly and a committee of Avonlea fans, are planing an Avonlea Convention  (Av-Con) in Toronto , July 24 & 25, 2004.  The venue has been determined ...  and  will be historical Black Creek Pioneer Village
Kevin Sullivan, Producer of "Road to Avonlea" and  "Anne of Green Gables" has agreed to attend. Members of the "Road to Avonlea" cast have been sent invitations to attend  Av-Con.
Harmony Cramp (Cecily #1) has responded, and said she will be happy to attend . Molly Atkinson ( Cecily #2) has expressed in interest in attending.
More good news. Michael Mahonen (Gus Pike) has responded to the committee's invitation ... he will be attending the Av-Con ... will you????
If you are interested in finding out more about the Av-Con, and would like to attend, click on  Shelly's Avonlea ~   or Shelly's Avonlea web site.
As of this week, July 1, 2004 - here is the latest AvCon update.
We may have another speaker in RH Thomson; if that goes through, I'll let you all know.
Sarah Polley and Zach Bennett have declined. Lally Cadeau has also declined (she'll be busy at the Stratford Festival  this year) but asked us to keep her in mind for next year. Gema, Cedric Smith and Mag Ruffman (!) have not responded to our invitation (even though the latter seemed to express interest, she still hasn't given us an answer, and we were supposed to have one months ago). Sadly, we don't have contact info for Joel Blake (Andrew) or Kay Tremblay (Aunt Eliza).
We did recently hear from Jackie Burroughs, who informed us that she wouldn't speak; but if her schedule allows, she would like to come by and meet with everyone.   :) ... and  possibly see if Mag Ruffman will also attend
Financial matters....New information.
