Southern strength, full of grace.
You see it in the smile on their face.
A southern belle or southern gent.
Heart broken by a bullet spent.
A family strong, bound together in love.
A loved one died but God was not the blame.
Their loved one went home, their soul God claimed.
War was the culprit, it showed no shame.
Southern strength, family ties so strong.
At the time of birth taught right from wrong.
Childhood memories in their heart they hold.
Many with wonderful stories to be told.

Families in Church every Sunday together.
Amongst adversities, clinging to one another.
Looking to God to make the path clear.
And knowing in Him the burden they'll bear.
Southern strength, its not a fable.
Sunday meals together at the dinner table.
Praying and knowing God is able.
A family whose love makes them stable.
Mountain tops covered in new fallen snow.
Valleys so green, Gods love to show.
The sweet magnolia's pleasant smell..
The gentle breeze with a story to tell..

Southern strength, a sign of Gods love.
A southern friend is faithful and true.
They've been through the battle of life
Fought through the heartache, pain and strife.
Southern strength, it is one of a kind.
All part of heart, soul and mind.
Wars will come and wars will go.
Southern strength will always flow.
God bless the South!
