We had another call a few days ago from someone in a nearly suburb about a budgie they'd found. Its description sounded very much like ours, and I felt myself starting to get hopeful, and had to try very hard to stay cool and calm. Unfortunately, it wasn't ours, but it did have very similar features to our budgie.

And a guy called last night saying he'd found a budgie, and wanted to know exactly what ours looked like, and how much the reward was. It's difficult to know what to say when someone asks that - and difficult to know if they're genuine or not. Anyway, he said he'd check his aviary to see if the budgie he'd found matched our description or not and call us back.  We haven't heard from him, so I guess it didn't.
