The "Mylos" (Mill) is a unique
restaurant decorated in the old village style, with a back yard full of
perennial trees, aromatic herbs, flowers and a pond with ducks.
Initially a
water mill, build next to an Inn in the 14th century, the "MYLOS" was
joined to the Inn and converted to a picturesque restaurant in 1960 by Mr.
D.Kavros.
The new structure was nicknamed "KERATAS"
(meaning Cuckold) owing to the fact that among its decoration prevailed a
variety of animal horns.
Here you can
experience the tastes of the traditional Cretan Cuisine. All meals are
prepared using top quality Cretan
products and cooked in pure olive oil.
Our wine list
includes a variety of excellent Greek wines that go well with any
choice of meals
"Mylos" is situated in 300 m from the central square at the
western end of Platanias.
Das Restaurant
Das Mylos (Mühle) ist ein einzigartiges, im alten Dorfstil dekoriertes
Restaurant. In unserem grossen Innenhof, in dem aromatische Kräuter
und alte, schattenspendende Bäume wachsen und sich ein Teich mit Enten
befindet, können Sie Platz nehmen und sich verwöhnen lassen.
Anfangs wurde das Mylos als Wassermühle gebaut, im 14 Jahrhundert zum
Gasthof umgewandelt und 1960 von Herrn D. KAVROS zu diesem malerischem
Restaurant umgebaut.
Hier können Sie das traditionelle kretische Essen, dass wir natürlich
nur mit besten kretischen Zutaten und originalem
Olivenöl für Sie frisch kochen, geniessen.

und internationalen Weinen.
Das Mylos finden Sie am Westende von Platanias, ca. 300m vom Stadtzentrum
