01-01-01 Today is the official opening of Logbook 2001! (roll the drums!) From today onwards everything the Ranger unit I'm enrolling into or I do will be recorded here. Please note the contents of this page is not from the Rangers logbook. It is my own jottings of events. As of today, I'm no longer a Guide with the 14th Company - the memories shall live in me - but a, err...a Guide who will join my ex-Guide seniors who are also my soon-to-be Ranger seniors in Ranger sisterhood. (Got that?) Well, back to being a recruit now! Schools in Malaysia will reopen on the 3rd - school days in some states will start a day earlier - and by then I'll know the meeting dates (I hope we have more this year). I can't help but wonder what's awaiting us in 2001!

13 January 2001 The number of Saturday meetings this year is not as many as hoped - only 11, to be exact. :o( I attended the rangers meeting this morning - my first - and we were given a welcome speech by the Guider. Nothing seems to be akwardly new as we knew each other. We were told about the Thinking Day celebration, and the Leadership Camp in March (HOOOORAY!!!) Real GOOD timing for us junior rangers as there are no major exams coming our way unlike last year (jumping up and down ecstatically). Oh, wonderful!!!

3 February 2001 Approximately 2 500 Ranger Guides, Girl Guides and Brownies attended the state Thinking Day celebration today and the theme "Year of the Volunteers" was picked for the event. Unfortunately our ranger unit couldn't attend the celebration, therefore I could not tell you what it wass like. It was probably similar to the 1999 celebration; with songs and short plays from the participating Brownies, Guides, and Rangers.
