27th January 2000
The first meeting of the last year of the century/millennium for the company sees 18 new faces all eager to start their journey as members of the Girl Guide family. This gave the Patrol Leaders and their Patrol Seconds a very busy morning, explaining and helping out the recruits to work on their Tenderfoot, required badge before they're officially enrolled as Girl Guides. The plans for Y2K has been discussed, and the year awaits fun activities such as the annual Cookout, Marching Competition, and Nature Walk.

1st March 2000
Some good news, some bad. The BAD news is that the number of meetings has been reduced to seven, due to public holidays. The GOOD news came a while ago from the Young Leader, who called and said the Cookout Competition may be on April 8, if the PL's agree. I did, not wanting to delay the "day". The BAD news is the PL's may be short of help from their juniors for early preparations as the juniors are attending this year's "Kem Wawasan" (Vision Camp) and a good lot of preparation the camp itself needs! The good news is there's NOTHING impossible in Girl Guiding.

25th March 2000
The second meeting of the year is on the 8th of April, and the Cookout is postponed to 27th May.

8th April 2000
Watch out! Girls are running from station to station, dipping their legs in icy cold water, singing out loud, answering questions on Guiding, crawling under tables and chairs, face painted "artistically" - maybe not, arms and legs "decorated" with glitter, bodies covered with oozing starch and slime...this certainly cannot be done at home! Well, it's stationed games all right! Sounds like fun? Yes! Just, always remember to sing and smile under all difficulties.

27th May 2000
The most awaited Cookout Competition is here! The day was so busy that I didn't have the time to look around what the other patrols are doing, unlike the year before . I guess it's completely different when you're a senior! The most wonderful thing I've discovered today was the synergy among my patrol, Orchid. Or course there was also the unforgettable topsy-turvy experience. This year's cookout really brought us together as a patrol and strengthened our ties as sisters of Guiding.

2nd June 2000
Two Guiding sisters and I worked on our Babysitting badge today. We went to Babington
Nursery and babysat nearly a dozen children, the eldest with eight years of age. Undeniably, we
admire our mothers after the visit!

24th June 2000
Enrolment Day. __ members have been welcomed into the Guiding sisterhood. This was done with the horse shoe formation and reading of the Girl Guide promise.

29th July 2000
Tension filled the air and the hall was silent as the company watched the patrols marched one after the other. The Patrol Leaders were trying to keep their spirits high, commanding her entire patrol in the Marching Competition. Hours of practice had been done before this and most of the girls marched in perfect synchrony.

12th August 2000
Saturday Guides meeting. This 14th Coy meeting is the last I'm attending, as the seniors have to retire to prepare for their examination. We are all shifting to Rangers next year. It was a sad moment for me. Maybe others too, felt that way but their sadness certainly didn't show because almost all patrols received an award today. There were awards for Marching Competition, Cookout Competition, Most Promising Guide, Best Patrol Second, Best Patrol Leader and Best Patrol. Well, congratulations to all the winners!

20th August 2000
Today we had a farewell lunch at a hotel and each senior received a souvenir. My souvenir was a cute and lovely bear doll with beautifully sewn skirt without a top dressing. Well...I think one of the Guides who did the tailoring had forgotten something, don't you?
