In an area known as the Lost Ground, the people are always on their feet, watching for thieves, hoodlums, and evil-doers, but the real fear is in the Alter Users--people who, thanks to an extreme seismic phenomenon, have gained powers that make them able to manipulate matter. Each Alter User has a different power that reflects their own soul, and unfortunately, there are many evil souls in these here parts...
The Man With the Golden Gun(arm)
When any alter user activates his Alter Power, his attributes jump tremendously. However, this jump can only be sustained for one full melee per 24 hour period. The user can indeed use his power for extended periods of time, but should he do so, his SDC shall decline at a rate of 5 per melee round.
Note that powers used outside of battle are not necessarily restricted. (That's up to the GM.) I just figure that this is the most fun way for you to get to see your Alter User in action--just playing around...
