My Mospeada 23 Idea
A bit of cut-and-paste to create a new world...

From what I've heard on the internet, the famous (or infamous, depending on which side of the Pacific that you're on) OVA called Megazone 23 was actually originally designed to be a sequel to the popular anime, Mospeada. Now, as we all know, Mospeada was used as the final third of the Robotech series, and is actually regarded as the second-most popular section, behind Macross.
The series was cool because of its cyclone motorcycle mecha cruising along. However, the Robotech movie based off of Megazone 23 was regarded as much less than cool. The end result is that Robotech: The Movie has cool mecha a la Mospeada but is less than desirable when one wishes to view a piece of the Robotech universe.
So what is one to do?--Personally, I'd rather not scrap Robotech: The Movie's ideas, but rather put them on a block to see what could be done with Megazone 23 and the movie.

So here's the plan...and it begins with Megazone 23 being more like "Mospeada II".
Mark, the hero of the Robotech movie, is yep, that's right, a street punk, who rides a motorcycle around Neo-Tokyo or somewhere like a maniac. The dude beats people up like Yusuke Urameshi, drinks alcohol like Misato Katsuragi, and sneers like Ekichi Onizuka; that all right with you?
But when Mark's friend, Todd, a military agent opposed to a hopeless war with the Robotech Masters, brings him the top-secret MODAT motorcyle, this street loser is quite impressed with the technology. However, when Todd is suddenly killed, Mark is forced to flee with the MODAT cycle, knowing that the same military agents that murdered his friend will also come after him.
So what's an ordinary punk with a souped-up motorcycle to do?--Have you ever seen Akira?

So Mark's on the run. And apparently, he's the hottest thing on two wheels with his brand-new MODAT cycle. As the story progresses, he meets a variety of people involved in the motorcycle cyberpunk world. Basically, here's the lowdown:
The Girl: She's a bad-ass chopper-chick
The Bike-Shop Guy: He can make his own MODAT-style bike after analysing the hot machine that Mark is riding around, as well as supe-up other cycles.
The Deserter: This guy stole his MODAT-series when he entered the Armies of the Southern Cross.

So when these guys ride the streets as a posse, the posse music plays (popular in the "The Masters" section of the Robotech TV series) and everybody better watch out.
--And they'd better, because these motorcyle boys are out for blood when the Robotech Masters continue to attack the Earth, leaving the Armies of the Southern Cross to get their butts whooped upon every attack. With vigilante-style attacks with their transformable MODAT cycles, the group is pretty much the only force against the enemy. Essentially, its very much like the original Mospeada, and that's how it should be.
Not to forget Miss Eve, the beauty of the MODAT system!--With her help in the communications networks, Eve can constantly send the group data analysis of enemy attacks and battle formations, giving the force even more of an advantage over their military counterparts.

Long live Mospeada, and long live Megazone...
The next battle is about to begin!
