My Robotech Canon
UNIVERSALISM AT ITS FINEST
DISAPPROVED AND ABANDONED (WITH TEARS IN MY EYES) ON 4 DECEMBER 2003

This area no longer reflects my beliefs in the world of Robotech. However, it has been kept online for purposes of studies and information-gathering.
A chant goes up into the air that says: "RO-BO-TECH!"
A new idea...

Sure, I know what "Robotech" officially is--I've been a fan of it for about 15 years now. But in recent years, I have found that, to me, "Robotech" means a totally different thing than the "official" brand that bears its name.
First of all, Harmony Gold Productions has a problem: They don't know what Robotech is. They lost control over the Robotech marketplace in the 1990s and they're never going to get it back; the reasoning?--during that time, everyone was allowed to adapt whatever storyline of Robotech from whatever sources were available, be it RPGs, novels, old comics, etc.
For me, it was a conglomeration of Macross sequels and various other Robotech paraphenalia that became my perception of Robotech. Everything that involved the same era of transformable mecha as those of the Robotech serieses became essentially Robotech. I am not, however, so vain as to smash unrelated things like Gundam and Patlabor into my universe; I do not simply pick everything that I like and make it part of Robotech. Simply put, "Robotech" is all about the adaption of the technology known as "Robotech."
My Robotech currently exists as so, in case you are interested:

1999--The SDF-1 Macross lands on Earth
2007--The VF-0 is launched in the Unification Wars
2009--The Earth is attacked by the Zentraedi and Meltrandi fleets
2010--Kamjin Kruvshera, the flower-eating pimp daddy of the Zentraedi forces, unsuccessfully launches a suicide mission into the SDF-1 Macross
2012--The first interstellar colonisation fleets are launched in the Robotech Expeditionary Force (REF) along with the SDF-3 to explore the cosmos
2025--The Earth is attacked by the Robotech Masters, but are defeated by the Armies of the Southern Cross
2026--A second group of Robotech Masters attacks the Earth
2030--The Invid rule the Earth, harvesting the planet of its Protoculture
2033--The Invid are defeated by the returning ships of the Robotech Expeditionary Force (REF)
2035--The Robotech Masters return again, only to face fledgling forces of the REF and the Invid. With no group of decent strength, the groups intermix and begin rebuilding the Earth.
2040--The YF-19 and YF-21 are destroyed in an unscheduled test flight over New Macross City
