After my first plane, an aircore trainer 40 hung on my ceiling for over three years, I have finally taken it into the air for its maiden flight. This flight occured at the field of the Georgia Model Aviators which I joined in the winter of 2002. Meanwhile I have undergone numerous days of training. I have learned how to do flybys, looping, rolls, take-offs and landings. I am hoping to have my solo flight soon. |

Design and Construction Projects: |
Past Projects: In the past my projects have been on a rather small scale. To test new designs I invisioned or saw in books or the media, I often constructed simple models of cardboard or styrofoam to test basic flight abilities. |

Current Project: Currently I am working on a styrofoam delta wing plane for my EDF-50 (a small electric ducted fan intended for park-flyer sized jet models). I used enlarged plans from a model magazine for the shape. I cut the airfoils out of plywood and then used a hot-wire styrofoam cutter to make the wing in two halves. I have yet to purchase micro servos in order to allow me to do a elevon mixing and purchase a material to cover the airplane. |

Future project: The next project will be another model airplane for an electic ducted fan, but this time the much larger PFU electric ducted fan from Wattage. This will enable me to later upgrade the motor with an Astro Flight 020 Brushless Motor for a more realistic hum, and far superior performance. |
